Realized I hadn't recorded any Ryan Knight solos for my channel yet, so it was time to change that! Here's his solo in "Goat of Departure" by The Black Dahlia Murder, from my favorite Knight-era album of theirs, Everblack. This solo is one of my favorites from his time in the band-really cool use of chromaticism and creative seventh arpeggio patterns, as well as a nice balance of shred and melody. All in all, it's a very memorable solo that fits the song perfectly.
Once again, scrolling tab for those of you who'd like to try it yourself! Be warned that this has some tricky economy picking patterns-you'll need to be very controlled with your pickstrokes to nail this one, but it's very fun once you've got it up to speed.
