The position at the beginning it's a ship. Jimin is in and he is asking for help so Jin tries to help him but when he is going to reach his hand the waves (the other members) take Jimin out. So we can think that he has died.
Then, when Tae sings “you know it all, you're my best friend”, the ship position appears again and now Tae and Jin are two people in the ship. Again, they disappear with the waves. That also means that they have died.
At the end, the waves disappear and Jin meets Jimin in heaven.

I do agree but i think this dance doesnt show enough of jimin dance. Black swan is where he shine a lot. Spring day is more of a different side of bts showing more of the vocal skills more than the dance move.

Honestly spring day has one of the most beautiful dance practices. It may be simple in many places but I think the subtleness is what really captures the beauty in it. I also think that in all the moments they stood alone in the choreo instead of in a compact formation gave off an even more impactful vibe showcasing the “보고 싶다” (bogo sipda) or i miss you/I want to see you. Most of the feelings are expressed depending on how much emphasis they put into a move, which is why I think dance is one of the greatest art forms to exist. It’s really difficult to make simplistic moves convey the message such a powerful and emotional song, but our bangtan exécutés it flawlessly.
And then their vocals on the live stage are just stunning. I’m so glad hoseok got to showcase his vocals a bit in the song!

And this is exactly why Spring Day is and forever will be my favorite BTS song of all time. The meaning of the lyrics and the way the boys so effortlessly communicate that through each move of the choreo is the most beautiful thing to me.
This song... I knew about it, read the lyrics and it did hit me. But seeing the explanation of the imagery in the music video and what had actually happened in the tragedy - it obviously hit different, but also it hit even more on a personal level... and adding the choreography on top of that... yeah, I'm an emotional wreck💜

During Festa 2019 (so like last June) BTS released a Spring Day dance practice "Lovely edition," which is... well, honestly it's them being a little goofy and cheerful with this choreo, instead of solemn. Spring Day came out in early 2017 I believe, but they didn't film/release this dance practice until later.
Perhaps it's just me being In My Feelings about BTS like usual, but I almost wonder if having an arguably happier version released two years after the fact is a little symbolic of just life going on. Finding joy in something that used to remind you of your grief.
Regardless of "Theories Brought To You From My Feelings," the lovely edition dance practice is cute and silly and very light-hearted and I wholly recommend it. Thank you for always being as amazed by and appreciative of our boys as they deserve. 😊

Am I the only one that tears up everytime I hear this song.. knowing the story behind it opened my eyes to the sad reality and fictions that relate to pain and suffering. This song is a masterpiece tho but I sometimes avoid listening to this cuz my whole mood will be dragged as hearing this song opens up some wounds this song holds apparently I am already awaked by the meaning, ignorance really is bliss.
