I actually think Crisis on Earth-X is pretty underrated. The thing I really like about it is that unlike all the others, it really feels like a movie. Every part has the same tone and feel, storylines are told throught the whole 4 parts (unlike other times where there is the main storyline and then each episode has storyline(s) that focus on the characters from the current show and those storylines end in those same episodes), and overall the stracture is so perfect and it's a shame no other crossover has ever done that (except for Crisis on Infinite Earths a little bit but still with flawes).
If they combined all the episodes of crisis on earth-x into one film, they could fool me.

Crisis on Earth-X definitely deserves first or second. The only negative was the Olicity drama for me. Iris didn't annoy me because the crossover was based on the West-Allen wedding and so she did deserve some role to play in some events while the same can't be said for Felicity. It also was the crossover to best utilize the characters from all of the shows that a lot of other crossovers didn't get right.
Nas yes iris was had to be in the crisis but I don’t think she should have been as strong like when they beat up a nazi.

i agree. earth x is the exception where i wont complain ab iris after season 4. if she was a bitch in it (dont remember if she was) then rightfully so her wedding was crashed by nazis.

Cameos were a major part of the reason that Crisis lost it's space for a more focused storyline. Especially in the second episode. I'm not saying I hated it,nice to pay homages to other franchises but why the hell would you make an episode which is fully contributed to drama and side missions rather than the actual story.
Adding to that,the cameos were unimportant to what's actually going on in the main story of the crossover,almost every one of them. That's why it fell off flat for me in the first half. But I did enjoy the second half more because it was story focused.
I think I had the exact same problem, the whole plot of episode 2 was resolved at the beginning of 3, when Ray shows up with the tracking device (with pictures of everyone they were looking for!), so what was the point of the second episode?
And in the third episode, everything about the story felt so jammed and hurry, that half of it could have been placed on episode 2, allowing episode 3 to breathe (and maybe I would feel something about Flash's death).
But the first episode was awesome, except for the Supergirl drama... (the same drama that made hate Cisco in Invasion)
I think the only cameos that i disliked because imo they were filler, it was kevin conroy's batman and tom welling superman. I mean i didn't disliked them i actually really liked them but for the most part i feel like they waste a lot of time on that, specially kevin conroy. I understand why, with conroy it was to setup batwoman as the paragon of courage and welling to conclude his story, but i thinl they couls've done it in different ways

The only reason I don’t like crisis as much as others is for me it didn’t lead up to the hype. If they didn’t tell us about the cameos I would of enjoyed it much more. I’m just happy they didn’t spoiler Ezra’s flash at least. I really enjoyed part 4 and 5 tho. I wish more characters showed up in part 5 but I understand the budget problem. They could of saved money not doing beebo tho.

It's not that they were expecting a movie budget my friend. But the fact that they teased some things that were going to appear in this cross over that never happened (Eobard Thawne for example) that's why people didn't really like it

Bary meeting Bary in part 4 of Crisis on Infinite Earths was probably one of my favorite parts of that cross over. The two played really well off of each other and it was just a fun thing to watch even though it wasn't for very long.

Crisis was amazing! People need to remember these are TV shows! People are mad it wasn't movie quality or something. They did great considering how big the crossover was and how much it had to accomplish and fit in there. The worst episode of that crossover is 5 and it was still a good episode.
I honestly hated COIE at first but the more that I looked back at it, the more I started to appreciate it. Sure it has a couple of flaws but I still think it was the best crossover by far.

What I really haed about Invasion was the Cisco and Barry drama. It was the same as Felicity and Oliver drama in Heroes Join Forces.
Crisis on Earth X played down that drama so much us why I would put it ahead of these two.

Crisis on infinite earths remains my favorite of the crossovers.
But barry had such a small role in crisis
Thinus Breedt barry barely wasn’t in part 1 and 2. Even part 3. And part 4 focused on oliver and even tho it felt like it, it didn’t have barry that much in it. They should’ve focused on him sacrifising himself to save all the other like the whole season focused on.

Invasion on 2nd place is crazy. It was hella boring and the Dominators got defeated so easily for being a treat to humanity for so long.
I honestly wouldn't even count the first two as official annual crossovers as I completely forgot about them.
My list would be

6. Heroes Join Forces 5/10 (Felicity is just so annoying that it bogs down the crossover)
5. Crisis on Infinite Earths 6.5/10 (The first 3 episodes in particular were so filled with cameos that it felt like the writers lost focus on the story which should always be more important than the cameos. The last 2 episodes were quite a bit better since they were at least story focused but even when (spoiler alert) when they killed Oliver it didn’t feel as impactful as it should’ve since it felt like they wasted his character since he wasn’t very prominent in episodes 2 and 3. Also him just holding the anti monitor wasn’t as epic as it should’ve been and since it was just Barry and Sarah there at his sacrifice it didn’t feel super emotional. However I felt the next episode was more emotional and I liked it much more in the last 2 episodes but for me this was pretty disappointing)
4. Flash VS Arrow 8/10 (This is the one that started the yearly crossover which was so cool and this is just a purely fun crossover)
3. Invasion 8.5/10 (I really enjoyed this crossover since it’s so much fun but my problem with this one lies where the arrow episode feels so arrow centric that it takes me out of the crossover as I think it would’ve been better if it played as one long movie. That’s what brings down the crossover but other than that it’s a very good crossover)
2. Elseworlds 8.9/10 (Elseworlds was a super fun crossover, a fun setup for Crisis on Infinite Earths and it was just so much fun seeing Barry as Arrow and vise versa. Also seeing the Justice League was so cool. My only problem lies in where it’s super dumb how Oliver and Barry swapped identities. This professor was given so much power and all he does is swap Oliver and Barry which was super dumb which bogs down the crossover, but it was still really good)
1. Crisis on Earth X 9.5/10 (This is the way every crossover should be in my opinion as it’s emotional with a death that makes a lasting impact on the arrowverse, and most importantly it put the story before anything else. Also the villains were very good and I loved how this crossover played as 1 long movie which was awesome making this my favorite crossover)

I didn't like Crisis on Infinite Earths
I agree the consequences and changes are really entertaining but part 5 except the sara and barry moment is so shit, Oliver just died and they're fighting a giant Beebo and making terrible jokes and why is the anti-monitor alive, oliver died fighting him and recreated the universe but he didn't kill him and that final fight is pretty bullshit. Oliver's death in part 1 meant he basically wasn't there the whole crossover and his interaction with everyone else are my favourite part about crossovers yet he was barely there. Also the paragon hunting bit I didn't like.I only liked it after Earth-1 and the waverider get deleted.
As far as I know, part 5 was kind of rushed or they just ran out of budget. Also, it was on Legends. They probably used that as an excuse to be lazy

Black Lion, although I do not agree with you putting it on 1st place, I do agree that the response to Crisis has been way too harsh. Like seriously, what were people expecting? Sure, it sucked that: some central characters didn't appear, that the crossover ignored some of its own set up, that the plot was quite weak (especially in Part 2) and that the Anti-Monitor was a bit lame. But from a general view, in hindsight, there was so many cool things they gave us and it really did feel a lot bigger due to all the cameos (even if the majority didn't add anything to the plot). I mean realistically, it is just a television crossover with not a huge budget, tons of buildup and anticipation to meet, and so many superheroes that it made Infinity War look small (from the number of comic heroes involved). There was no way they could ever satisfy everything. I still loved it. It's still N2 of my list. And people are just far too harsh on it, compared to what it accomplished.

Crisis on infinite earths had so many possibilities and that’s why people are disappointed that certain things didn’t happen.
If they had another episode(black lightning episode slot) they could’ve included people and story that were lines set up like John digggle being green lantern which was nodded at in elseworlds and black canary being included.
But all in all this is just me being extra picky and greedy this was a great crossover and satisfied my fanboy expectations.
Hopefully since everything changed we get a rebirth wally west somehow down the line so we can get a new actor for wally
I judge these crossover by 1)number of charecters, 2)relevancy to main plot/flow, 3) impact on charecters moving forward. Given that, I rank CoEX as number 1(fluid continuous plot, character death, weddings), CoIE as number 2 (last episode felt disjointed and rushed), invasion as 3(supergirl felt stapled on as an afterthought with none of her side charecters), heroes unite as 4 (almost all charecters at the time, but it was immediately undone in favor of the legends show), elseworld as 5 (lots of charecters sidelined, legends completely excluded, each episode wanted to be it own thing: freakyFriday & nurfed amazo, batwoman, emperor superman, it just disjointed start to end), flash vs arrow as 6(like you said, just 2 cameos, not really a crossover).
Mannn most of this list is definitely interesting but there’s so many crossovers that I don’t expect anyone to have the exact same list. I enjoyed all the cross overs so much. Definitely my list

last 4 are all so good it’s hard to choose!
I mostly agree with your list other than crisis on earth X would be my number one and invasion would be my number two with crisis on infinite earths coming in at number three then the rest of your list is pretty much the same as mine.
I think that Invasion was good for the time, but since then we had crossovers that were so much bigger that I think they all outshine Invasion. Also I could think of a major problem with that crossover: the stracture was horrible. Part 1 and 3 were very good for the story and it was amazing seeing all the heroes meet (for the first time actually at least all together). However Part 2 comes right in the middle and highly interrupts the story. At the time, it was my favorite episode of Arrow and I still really love it. I thought it was a great celebration for the 100th episode and it is still really emotional. However as a crossover it was horrible. They put Cisco with the rest of the tech guys, shoved in Flash and Supergirl for a pretty unnecessary storyline and called it a day. The rest of the focus was put for the main storyline of the 100th episode, which in any other cases I wouldn't have minded at all (Actually I would have appreciated them including other heroes), but as the middle of a 3 part crossover it ruins the thing.
Another complaint I have (although much smaller) was that it focused too much on the other heroes meeting Supergirl. I mean yeah it was the year the show became officially part of the arrowverse but why does it take a big portion of the event? It was basically the heroes meet her, surprised of her superpowers and her being an alien, use those powers to train, joke at the powers (Mick) don't trust her (Rene) don't trust her again (Oliver) then she earns her trust and goodbye!
Overall still a great crossover (all of them are basically except for one...), but isn't number 2..

For me, Earth-X is still the best. Invasion and Crisis on Infinite Earth switch places between the second and third spot periodically.
I think I set my expectation for Infinite Earth set a little too high. The set up in both Arrow and Flash was amazing. I was a bit surprised that Supergirl made absolutely no mention of it. Batwoman not mentioning it makes sense, given that it needed to establish itself.
Actually the only Supergirl episode to mention Crisis was the episode before it, but yeah up until then, I didn't like how we weren't getting any setup

I personally wouldn't put crisis on infinite earths at the first place because there are quite a few things I don't like about it, like how they treated kevin conroy and smallville's clark kent and the ending felt rushed and too easy, to me it depended way too much on the cameos to hold himself, I still like it but it has problems. My personnel favorite would probably be flash vs arrow or invasion

The rest of the crossovers are so small in scale that it would be unfair to be compared with these ones - if they are, they are obviously lower in the rankings at least for me.
Generally, I didn’t dislike Felicity’s character. However, that William moment was absolutely horrendous and TO ME Oliver is still in the right
