I like the idea of the mesh tent under a tarp. Gives you a lot better view of your surroundings and let you hear what’s going on.
Great idea with the walking poles 🇨🇦
Loved this the first time - so much visual and verbal info I actually watched it 3 or 4 times - now watching again - brill. Keep it coming. Cheers for your effort.
Every time I watch your videos I learn something new thanks for another great video Luke
Great setup
Magic to have yer back Luke 👍🏻
Good to see you oot & aboot. Great spot & setup, i love my alpkit R7.
Love those camping/hiking vids as always!
Good setup. I'll have to try it. 👍
Simply Awesome! Thanks for sharing Luke. Take care mate, Steve. 👍👍
Appreciate it mate, nice one. Luke
Thank you my brother nice work. Great info. From Ohio, Cleveland
Cheers mate! Another good one.
Tarp setup will work well with my mesh tent. Wasn't sure how to set them up with my poles. Thanks to you, i have a rough idea of what im gonna do. I had a bad experience with something that bit me bad a few times last year. Huge blisters came up. Still scarred from them 😧 Not something i want to repeat this time around. Cheers. Subbed. 🍀
This is a really nice tarp setup. I've picked up some great pointers
Thanks Luke. Nice setup. Cheers. Paul.
Hey Paul, long time buddy. Thanks for watching
Forgot about this one. Great setup! I will add bungie cord to my tarp asap.
Cheers Lars, the tie outs will thank you for it !
Great setup, I've the same DD Tarp, MSR mess tent, I like the way you use the rear sticks, will give that a go as I have some extra carbon walking sticks
Another great camp Luke always a pain when you knock over the stove
Just as good a watch as the original video if not better second time around, I Enjoyed yet again ATB Luke, Les.
Sorry for the late response. Thanks for watching again.. Really glad you enjoyed it. Good to hear from you bud, nice one. Luke
Just come across your channel and really like your vids.... Tarp set up is brilliant !!
I quite like the arrangement for me the best reason to have a tent is BUGS 🤠
Very nice gear mister.
Thumbs up for the accent.
Great setup
Good to see you.
Cheers bud
Great vid! Thanks!
Yes..use this setup a lot as well, beside bivybag and hammock.
Next week of for another walking project
FB kayak cobber
This time about 5 /6 months..always wildcamping.
Awesome bud. I love this setup.. completely protected but with the possibility of 360 views. Great option to have in your selection. Thanks for watching.
Wild camping: great video
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching mate, nice one
Grand!! This is similar to mine and just how I'd like it for sure. I didn't know this tarp exists, I'll look it up after video. I've actually just modded extra tie outs from cheap (1.20 pound ish) adhesive patches ironed on, fused sound. For patches and such, they're grand! I'm looking for mods or commercial mozzy nets ATM, hence finding this video
Very nice enjoyable video cheers mate. I did like the tarp setup before you decided to go for the netting, good choice I’d say pal. Cheers, Ant 👍
Appreciate it mate, nice one. Subbed !
OutdoorEnthusiast101 very kind of you, thanks bud 👍
Happy to rewatch relike and recomment. Love you and your vids mate I am glad to see you out and about. Im trapped inside my own head, I need to get out and live life. All the best.
Thanks for re watching. Been there after the forces bud.. Only one person can make it happen. Starts with long walks and doing positive, kind things for others. Hopefully that can grow with you as it did with me. Start tomorrow. Luke
Probably said this first time round Luke but what a cracking spot mate, sheltered yet open beautiful lush grass loads of wild life
nice grub and a bloody giant tick lol, a great set up with the tarp proper jealous enjoyed this once again, take it easy mate, ATB George.
Yeah might nip back up there. I remember not seeing anything flat but thats wikdcamping eh.. Miffed about having to reupload but sh#t happens. Thanks for watching it again. Be well buddy. Luke
Good film, enjoyed it. Well organised camp and set up 👍.
Appreciate it mate, nice one
Bloody hell mate I thought you quit CZcams great to have you back 👍😁
excellent set up, thought the bug net was a great idea ,enjoyed the video a lot. H
Appreciate it mate, nice one. Glad you enjoyed it. Luke
I camped like this but without the netting on one trip and didn't sleep well. Had a porcupine 3 feet from my head. And deer bumping my lines. Plus there were black bears and wolves in the area
Would a tent or netting have helped you from any of those things situations?
@@thomasdominguez5164 you're right,
But I figure out of sight out of mind
Nice one Luke, I remember thIS video the first you posted this video up and I liked it, so i'M going to like it again. 🙂 Atb Glenn.
Still a great looking set up.
Nice video !
Very close to a fave hammock spot of mine, I've heard some weird noises from those woods haha
It is best to use the tent together with a tarp.
Nice set up
VERY NICE set up - The hiking poles are not cheap if you only have one, a couple of sticks could be a significant cost as well as a weight saver - Keeping in mind there are some areas where sticks may not be available😀
Awesome mate as always
Atb
Paul
COUSCOUS? and no Haribo, you've changed lol. Canna wak it wira stick, cheeky look down the camera haha awesome Luke. Take care mate and atb Dixie.
Nice one mate. 👍
Great work on video mate greetings from spain 👍👍👍
Bigfoot is back in the woods!🤣🤣🤣
Good video. I really liked the first pitch prior to the mesh tent. What tarp are you using in this vid?
Liked it the first time round, mate. Just as good this time as well! Missed seeing your mug on the CZcams...anything new coming up? Cheers to ya from across the pond... 🇨🇦🙂👍
Appreciate it mate. Oh yes there's more coming ! Made a lot of new friends through youtube and work. Having a Gopro will allow me to show why I picked the name "Outdoor Enthusiast" Fishing, Climbing, Kayaking, Wildcamping, Cycling, Bushcraft and Survival are all activities I enjoy but were just unable to film properly with a large bridge camera. I hope for an eventful year bud. Thanks again for watching. Luke
I opted for same configuration light pack out and enjoy the night sky...
Mate I always love your vids. Amazing tarp setup, I'd love to get the gear to be able to pitch up like that one day 👍🍺
Cheers bud. No tv, no broadband, no junk food, little alcohol and a few other things allow me to buy decent gear.. Easy when your single but not so easy for family folk eh. Tot up your biggest unnecessary expense, ditch it and maybe your gear can get an upgrade ? Thanks fir watching bud, gota catch up on your vids soon. Always a good watch. Luke
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 great ethos mate and wise words. I think I will. Cheers and looking forward to your next video.
Got one thing after another to do but if your up for a camp sometime, just let me know.. Think we'll get on well bud
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 I'm up for that some time mate, sounds good..... Fire me an email at mcmoutdoorshow@yahoo.co.uk
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 I got my DD tarp and hammock a few years ago i might have basic kit but you will be surprised what i can do with it
No bug net tho will have to upgrade hammock for that just hope dwp give me a bonus lol
no issues with moisture, would you use this in colder weather , maybe with a bivy just to block some of the wind pulling the heat from you body?
I'm the bling about taking a mesh trekking pole tent and tarp on my first solo trip in a month or two. You've inspired me!
Sienna tuna. Take cillis out slice fry with one onion garlic few drops of soy. Serve with cous cous or rice in a bag. Worth carrying the weight of a can for.
As for tie out ropes. Gave them up years ago. 5mm shock cord tied on no tightening or anything stretch out put peg in done. Brit army tube pegs light asf, strong as you need. Put a keyring thru end, and clip with caribeenas cheep assed ones off junk key rings are fine
👍
Good stuff fella, just noticed one or two names I know here. Subbed. Looks reet there!
Nice re upload of a very fine outing. How was your 3 day Scotland camping trip. I follow a few others and it was good seeing you in there in the background.
Nice video
Great video, thank you for posting. Where did you get and what is it called the red cordage with the mini line locks please ?
nice video👍
nice
What is that airbag you use to pump up your mat?
Hope your ok r kid , miss your videos
Great video, mate. Is that the Rig 7 tarp?
The OS online web site is good for printing and creating routes, so that you can print the sections off luke. Its about 18 quid a year to subscribe. Those little tuna pouches are beltin for making a butty with. 😀
10/10 as always . A T B Luke . Daz
Glad you liked it Daz nice one mate
Pain the arse the copyright stuff. I use a subscription website now (epidemic) all copyright free music and songs. Lots of choice and some nice stuff. Few quid a month. Depends how much you would use it I guess though. Nice for me to watch this again anyway while I have a free lesson 😁👍🏼
Al make a note of that bud, nice one. This vid went from 15k to 30k in a week.. Soon as the likes hit 1000 it exploded ! Edited through youtube completely removing the music but the bell wouldn't agree to drop it. Ah well, we live and learn bud. Thanks for watching again
OutdoorEnthusiast101 such a shame when you get all those views and likes. You should be able to reupload and keep the views. Not to worry. We can all enjoy watching again 👍🏼😁
Plastic particle started to degrade at certain temperature. Avoid cooking with ziploc. Just use the small pot and cover it
I would like to watch the video you cook some bird (maybe pigeon?) and mushrooms with a coleman stove again. Thanks.
I use the Nemo bikepacking kit, whole lot less complicated, time consuming, equipment needed. Unless your OCD I guess.
Not familiar with that bud, may have to look it up. When im out ive got all the time in the word to setup. i don't have a "get it done quick" mentality. But, always looking at different options before discounting them. thanks for that.
What size of tarp and brand of tarp are you using?
I never seen the original , but really enjoyed this one Luke . It looked a really chilled camp and I loved the set up . atb Dave..
Appreciate it mate. Chilled is the word ! Its gona get some hammer this year i reckon. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. Luke
Lay me doon in the caul whet groon.
Simple
Ar tha from the Sheaf Field lad?
just wondering what tarp and what size is it
is this the one that used U2 'music'? well i have to say it *was* bloody painful ( and i did wonder at the time if i was missing a joke) :) nice watch again and look forward to more (sans the arena faux-rock) haha!
No U2 in my vids bud.. Just some piano an wildlife to finish off the vid but a Chinese fella claimed the music. I'm more Creedence and Skynyrd. Thanks fir watching
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 whoops.. my deepest apologies for any unintentional sullying of your music tastes!
Wicked set up mate. looked awesome! subbed from me!
Appreciate it mate. Back at ya !
What Net is that? Love the set up. Great channel!
It's an MSR Thru Hiker Mesh House 2. Still use this setup and might take it up the lakes this weekend. Thanks for watching bud
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 Thanks for the Reply!!! Look forward to the video about it!
Jeez man, is that safe to use a baggy as a bowl?! I've been looking s good while for a bowl, if this is safe I may well use it :o I'd have thought the heat like this would release chemicals or whatever even if bpa free and such? If that works, that's grand!
where about did you camp?
Are you and can you reupload the other one you put up about a year ago? The one where it looked like you peed beside your tent.
It doesn't seem worth it adding music these days, everything seems to get taken down - I've heard of people who uploaded with their own music and still got taken down. I don't think it adds too much to your vids anyway, I like the natural and peaceful sounds of yours
Haze sent me. Definitely a new channel to check out mate.
Appreciate it mate. Doing a lot of prep work at the moment to get the channel back up to what it used to be. Stay tuned bud. Luke
What tarp is that mate?
Alpkit rig 7 bud
@@OutdoorEnthusiast101 top man.... Thanks. I'm looking at the cheaper alternative to your mesh inner on Amazon, looks half decent to be fair!
Try paypal.me So I can put some money towards gear and provisions for future videos. Thankyou for replying, I have not been in forces but respect those who have. Post a link to paypay.me if you set it up on next video. I find it hard to express how i feel. and see how much effort you put in to sharing your experiences so thankyou bud.
Ok ive set that up.. Ive put the link in this video but wait for the next one eh, you might change your mind. Thanks again mate
