“I respect your opinion as long as your opinion doesn’t harm someone else’s existence.”
I'm glad to see all the love Lindsay gets on here as opposed to on AH comments
Please have Texas on as a guest i feel so bad he always making drink but we never get to know anything about him #freetexas
Matty Hinkley WE’VE BEEN ASKING FOR SO LONG 😭
He did appear on a post-show (that episode was available to the public on the RT site) to talk about being diagnosed with Bell's palsy. But I'd love to have him as a main guest! He always has interesting stories.
I love this show, and it was so nice to see that at the beginning. Very well done RT for showing people it’s ok to come forward when they’ve suffered at the hands of any kind of abuse 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Torchwood Boy Absolutely agree… Arannis
her eyes are mesmerising.
lynxBladez7 i know right...
Lindsay, my grandmother had dementia. I know exactly where you are coming from there. She would experience immense confusion, but she would also remember the strangest and most fine details within a story. She had days of lucidity and days of being lost in her thoughts. But she was still there until the day she passed, about a month and a half ago (May 27th was when we lost her). She was a kind and wonderful woman, a mother of 7, grandmother of 20 and great grandmother to 16. Dementia and Alzheimer's are challenges for the person suffering and the people who love them. Thank you very much, Lindsay, for sharing that about your grandfather. If you do end up having a podcast about those interviews, I promise that I would watch.
I just love every episode that has Lindsay, Miles or Burnie. In combination with Barbara and Mariel they bring a lot of emotion and humor to the show
Miles and Barbara are my favorite pair so far in Always Open, whenever they are both on the episode it's always great.
Mariel, Barb, Lindsey, and Miles needs to happen. It would be epic.
Carlos EOT Agreed!
Sereda Hawke so true
Sarah G. I think it happened once XD
My favourite Addams Family member is definitely Pubert Addams
Pubert "Spore" Haywood
This episode made me cry. Honestly thanks to this show talking about these kinds of issues that I can’t talk about with other people. I love you all so much 💕
Oh so Hannah's the one responsible for RT Life, huh? Love her already.
I think she's responsible for the newer "RT Life"s.
If you already know this or I'm wrong, then.....Ok.
bonus: she's a crazy cat lady
Nice touch at the start, good on you Rooster Teeth
Hames Hogan-Hinio trigger warnings are my trigger
My god those blue eyes!
TimeIsZer0 😍😍😍
For real.
Seriously!
Right! They are gorgeous!
Since I like big eyes, noted that they can mean the person is pretty much blind without corrective lenses.
Wow lindsay looking hot
My cousin got engaged recently.
Cheers to that.
How do I continue existing, knowing that I will never get to be as amazing as Barbara Dunkelman.
Also being asked to be kissed is the most romantic thing for a lot of people and shows a lot of respect
Bea-life not if you've just met someone and they find asking that sort of thing awkward.
BROWNMIST44 well at least it shows respect that they are asking permission. And for me personally it is romantic. My first kiss was like that I met someone and we hung out for a few days and then they asked to kiss me in the middle of our convo and it was romantic for me. And I appreciate not being kissed out of the blue unless a romantic relationship is already established
@@BROWNMIST44 well, obviously.
I love Always Open and this has been my favourite episode so far - SUCH sensitive approaches to difficult material. Thank you
I like the idea of Lindsay's podcast. But all I can think of is Tuesdays with Morrie but with Lindsey and now I love it
Scott Nicholson dude I remember reading that in high school
Its funny that they are talking about being just co workers. I usually refer to my friends as "Assholes I Associate with" I feel like thats what rooster teeth represents
I just started this episode but Lindsay woWoWOw 😍
What do you like about Lindsay?
Yes she looks wonderful in this episode and her makeup is awesome
Grgur Vranješ Omg, where do I start? Everything. I love how she’s always smiling no matter what. It’s something I’ve been trying to do more. Also her humor and wildcard-ness. And of course she’s beautiful as heck 🙌🏽
I could tell she has been working out and that alzeihmer's story was really sweet
Grgur Vranješ everything
Every time Always Open is uploaded and I get to spend an hour smiling from ear to ear! Thank you so much! :D
"Those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind". That has been my favourite quote forever. Barbara you are like a carbon copy of myself it's so weird lol
This episode was great. The was a lot of insightful advice and the questions they picked out from the Box of Issues help give a perspective that I thoroughly enjoy
Mariel's "empathy machine" thing made me think a bit.. Like, how would you react if you had one, that always worked, and you used it on someone and it didn't alter them.... would you then be faced with the reality of having to maybe see things from that person's view, or would it then be a matter of having to recognize all the things that person may have been through to get to the point they're at WHILE having had the empathy level from the start?
Obviously entirely a big "what if" scenario.. so then how would you react if someone perceived as not being empathetic had arrived to that perceived non-empathetic point in their life through the effects of having been empathetic?
Mainfold ive always assumed that unempathetic people are the result of either never developing it in the first place, or under such harsh adversity that empathy is shed to help them survive.
This episode really brightened my day and made me feel just a little bit better about myself. Thanks to you amazing ladies!
this podcast is always so fun and uplifting, it really makes my day!
WTH? I love her voice. ♡ H
I really appreciate this discussion on consent. I think a lot of people don't think about it until an action is done and we really need to be addressing this to change that. Do more talks like this!
I like just going back and finishing these bc it just talks about stuff I hear about or am dealing with and it's pure and good.
I haven’t watched in a while, I forgot how real and important this show is, just comparing it to the other RT Content I’ve been watching recently, (on YT)
Thanks for making this.
Hannah’s eyes are amazing. Shoutout to whoever made her.
this is such a wholesome episode! well done ♥️♥️ love yall
This was the first episode of always open I've watched and I don't know why it's taken me so long to start watching these, they're really good
Someone please build an empathy machine
I'd like to see it used the other way from their example
I am the complete opposite to Barbara in the saying no to things. I learnt very quickly to just unapologetically say no to things I don't want to do. "Because I don't want to" is the greatest reason for not doing things in the world
you have to be very blunt with people in situations like that. not everyone can pick up on "non-verbal ques", and it can get someone in trouble if they dont say anything to them, but tell other people, and the person who was technically at fault might not even know they did anything wrong.
I love the marlon bundo book in the background
Wogzog Kanal I never even noticed that!
Barbara's dress in this episode is so cute!
I think this was my favorite Always Open episode.
Loved this episode❤️ loved the positivity and love we need more of it
I really like Hannah's voice,it's very soothing
For every new person on the show you should put a cherry in their shot, so It like pops their 'Always Open' cherry
They're all so beautiful in heart and on the outside x) I love the insights this show gives on such a variety of subjects
Great show and lovely SMART ladies!
I love this cast. This episode was so great!
Lindsay is just A+ in this episode
Ah yes, my favorite show: "Ladies Marrying Each Other", or as I like to call it "All Les Open".
I love this show! It's so good and amazing. I watch at least one episode a day, please keep it up! And I would really love to submit a question because I'm having trouble with something currently and have no clue where to submit one.
Oh yes it's Lindsay!!!!
I love Always Open. The RT and Off Topic podcasts are both wonderful but, this one seems much more relaxing to listen to. No one is yelling or talking over one another. It's nice.
I love that thy have a copy of the Marlon Bundo book in the background
I just wanted to say I was the second box of issues question. Thank you so much for your advice. I've been watching always open for a while now and I love the mix of fun and serious topics!
I was the first box of issues question. This episode got me misty eyed.
yeeettt I love the new segment
this episode has all the feels
Always Open is amazing, its nice to hear different opinions that I both agree and disagree with. I love all these ladies
Hannah's eyes are so pretty, and I love her deep voice. It's so soothing to listen to!
17:59 "DO YOU BELIEVE IN DESTINY?" "YES."
Great episode, ladies!
So glad you added the screen at the start
I'm short and have a baby face.. A few years ago I was volunteering at my sisters primary school (she'd started high school the year before) and i have some stories of being mistaken for a child..
- a girl that knew my sister asked what my full name was, I told her and she was like "oh do you know [my sisters name]?" when I told her it was my sister her response was, "oh, are you twins?" that hurt, at the time my sister was 13 and I was 20..
- I was asked why i wasn't in uniform by a teacher, but the mortified look on her face when I told her I was an adult/volunteer was worth it.
I went to visit my family over Christmas and while at the check out my sisters best friend saw the back of my head and said "hey [sister] when did dye your hair blue?" I turned, her face dropped when she saw that it wasn't her and apologised profusely, while my dad and i were laughing hysterically.
Lindsay looks _really_ good.
The intro screen is a 10/10 thank you for being amazing
Amazing episode, one of the best!!! 👌❤❤
I'm OBSESSED with Hannah's eyes. Very Zooey Deschanel
Her voice sounds like Zooey too. Didn't notice it?
I always love when Lindsey Jones is on!!!
Hats off to Rooster Teeth for including that bit at the start! Good on you guys! :D
Lindsay is an actual angel but we been knew
seekerxr disagree
loags22 thank you for spreading your negativity
seekerxr that's not negativity
she's not an angel. she's a queen! Queen of Chaos lol
I love the show!!!! Keep up the awesomeness!!!!
It still surprises me that voting isn't compulsory in America.
in what western country is voting compulsory?
Permamse3950 Australia
Permamse3950 in Australia we get fined if we don't vote.
emily jay They have a lot of strange systems in the US. But it really doesn't matter either way. Much like our two primary parties in Australia, the American ones don't differ all that much in terms of progress, or achieving what they set out to do.
I love this show so much and all the different topics they cover. I'm so glad they made this show.
Also Lindsey looks like she's lost a lot of weight from the last time I've seen her, you get it girl you're looking beautiful as always.
Welcome to one of the greatest shows ever!
Lindsay and Barb's comments on leisure make me feel heard.
Hannah’s voice reminds me of the girl’s voice from 500 days of summer, which is a very good things lol I forget the actresses name but she and Hannah have amazing smooth calming voices 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Welp, I'm in love with Hannah now. Thanks guys.
BoI: I know that feel, Laura. Everyone tells me that I look 16/17, when I am actually 23. I'm also quite shy and don't have much experience in the working world. I have had conversations with ppl and they were at how mature i am for my actual age. there r definitely others that have the same problem as we do. You just gotta talk to ppl. And we'll be looking great way down the road :)
I'm watching this after drinking to see if I am really drunk bc I love this show and I wouldn't miss it if I had any control of myself
Lindsay Jones, Thank you so much for saying something about alzheimer's. My father is currently suffering from it. It's strange because I see my Dad day to day, but He isn't my Dad. It's painful. If y'all started a stream to support the cause. I would definitely be ready to pay anything.
In response to the discussion at 29:00. The best thing the internet does is bring people together, this is also the worst thing it does.
LOVE YOUR DRESS BARB
all of us, one of us, all of us!!!! Accidental Pantera lyrics :)
Barbara, I really need to know where that dress is from. It's freaking adorkable!
Mariel up there wearing a shirt with the title of my favorite song omg I need that shirt
Yay a new episode of the "Finger Me Podcast" If anyone gets the reference, hello fellow Rooster Teeth first member! :)
Anton Knutsson they also mentioned on the last Off topic...
27:57 I'd argue it isn't fear that comes from ignorance & lack of exposure, but prejudice. Prejudice that can cause fear, but fear has it's place in the world of rational. One who is completely aware of the inner workings and more informed than you or I of a dangerous factory machine can very well justifiably be afraid of jumping into that machine.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Lindsay you are awsome
After watching couple of episodes, finally realized that scene at the back was not the real one going on outside the window.
1:01:30 its called be my eyes and its super easy to sign up! strongly reccomend being a volunteer.
Empathy Machine vía Virtual Reality !!😱😱that would be cool!
I play Saxophon and had once guitar lessons it was in flamenco music but I also already speak german, spanish and english
WTF? Why am I not able to sign up on your site? Every time I properly fill a field the menu just disappears and appears empty again.
My eyes are almost -6. My lenses on my glasses are so thick 😆
So i love the "cheers to that" segment
yalll notice that marlon bundo behind Hannah's head XD
For anybody who was wondering, the app that Barb mentioned in this episode that lets you help blind people is called "Be My Eyes"
Barbara it's called the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre.
18:32 Hannah’s eyes got huge!!! It was adorable!!!
One problem with the idea of not caring what others say is that you might be a bad person, if someone was screaming about wanting a genocide people should mind what they say and think.
My goodness is Hannah gorgeous! Happy to see her in front of the cameras.
Love the whole pile of ya fam
Hate the writing in RWBY but love that it's a thing and love Lindsay in AH and this (killer hair game btw), love Barb in this, and love Muriel in this (she does voice the catgirl named after me with the questionable vocabulary right)
Love Hannah too
Barbs dress is a Dangerfield dress! My fav brand!
I like the blue giraffe in the background. Welcome Hannah.
