      Yea, if you go to factory settings and check the box for the "key" lights they will come on. The buttons will always be lit when you turn on ignition. That isn't how it should work but it was better than them never being lit.

      This video was made to show Eonon reps what was going on since they don't speak English very well....also if you read some of my replies to comments you would see how I resolved the issue...and smart asses don't have a very long lifespan....don't waste precious minutes watching stupid CZcams videos.

    I recently purchased an eonon ga2188. I'm having the same problem as you. Nothing happens when i put the car in reverse. I have been on the web and back trying to figure something out. I actually took our kitchen tv into the car. Plugged it into 120v and put the camera yellow rca into the video input. nice clear picture of the rear of the vehicle with guide arrows. I don't know what app is for the camera. If I goto av in I get and explanation mark on the screen. I pulled my tailight to connect power and ground to the reverse positive and negative. I'm also confused with the reversing wire on the back of the radio. I assumed the red wire thats on the yellow rca from the camera connected to it. I tried it and it changed nothing. if it worked on our tv it's hooked up properly i'd say. The lack of information about the radio isn't helping. I sent Eonon an email today but i'm not expecting too much help from them. Any tip would be helpful. Thank you, steve

      HI Steve, it's been quite a while and I have since sold the truck however I did get it working. Please read my responses I posted to several other similar questions for the solution. Also the contacts at Eonon were pretty responsive to my questions...however the language barrier is real...Good luck, Randy

    Randall, I'm having this same problem and i'm having trouble understanding how you say you fixed it. Do you have any pictures you could share?

    • @iflex1963

      No pics....to long ago..... I ended up cutting the camera wire only in the group of wires that went from radio to the canbus. Should be marked on your schematic which one it is...go by position on connector... not necessarily color... Then I connected it directly to the camera wire on the radio side and just taped the wire that was cut on the canbus side. It seemed like a "hack job" however thats what they had me do and it worked correctly.

      alan booth .... I had to cut the wire that goes from canbus decoder to the rear camera wire on radio. Then connected trigger wire from reverse lights in rear of car. Everything works good now.

    Randall, Great video I am having the exact same issue on my 07 F150 video works in Video in Input and doesn't trigger in CAM in. Trying to identify the solution that Eonon gave you is difficult. I am working with them now but the language barrier makes things difficult. It sounds like their CAN bus for the F150 do not work properly. Could you provide me with the solution that they gave you?
    This is the last E-mail I received from them and cannot make sense of it.
    Nice day.
    F150 ACC has a direct cable and CANbus two ways, we also designed the power cord two ACC line; Guest car ACC should be directly through the power Cord plug ACC PIN, rather than through the CANbus, connected to the CANbus ACC will have a conflict, the guests do not connect the CANbus ACC Line (red) can.
    If you have any question, please feel free to contact us, thanks
    I just asked them for a schematic of where they want me to wire it too.

    did you ever solve this?

    • @iflex1963
      @iflex1963  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes, They had me cut the camera wire going to the radio and directly wire up the trigger wire from the camera to it. The Can Bus wasn't working properly. Now as soon as the truck is put in reverse it automatically pauses everything else and shows camera. As far as the problem with the passcode I had to reboot the radio and it was fine then.

      Dear Randall, I am suddenly facing the same issue while it WAS working for me before. Rear camera is still working as checked using AVIN.
      Would it be possible if you drew like a simple schematic of how it is now wired in your situation? And then upload it to an image host to post the link here. Would really like to see that. Thanks a lot!
