- Ecoflow sent us their new R600 max for testing, we beat on it seeing what it could and couldn't do, we definitely figured out what it couldn't do. Like it's big brother the Delta can charge to 80% in an hour and power most of your home appliances.

Back to the drawing board R600!
Great see the potential issues of what could go wrong when trying to run higher powered electronics. They will need to be really clear in their marketing and instructions or potentially become liable for a lot of damages.
I hope they get the issues worked out before the official release.
You didn't really think the surge from your trailer's air conditioner was under 1200 watts, right?
That wasn’t the point, the eco flow should have shut itself off like every other battery or generator does, but yes, the unit on my trailer has a soft start on it so it should have been able to start it.
@@DoItYourselfDad you the soft start snowflake
Did you engage the X boost technology? That probably sounds like a joke but that’s what it’s called although it lowers the voltage to enable heavy duty devices to operate below 1200 W
We're can I order one?
I got 2 Deltas from the Kickstarter they're #%@#ing fantastic
I love my Delta!
Is this the beta version?
Cant wait to get it I'm getting it for my birthday
Don't do it its still in R D THIRD CZcams PERSON TESTed OUT BIG PROBLEMS CK IT OU YOUR SELF!
There is a function you have to turn on before trying to push to 1200 it’s like the cross link which you haven’t at all mentioned… I’m not prompting the product, I’m highlighting what you had missed
I was looking to pick it up for powering electric cooking devices when camping at festivals that don't allow fires. Given your experience, could it at least run a kettle and a stovetop or would this not be able to handle those?
Without at least mentioning how many watts those use, nobody knows.
I just ran out in the garage and plugged in my electric burner, it’s one of single burner with the spiral looking heating. It’s pulling 545 watts, and indicating that it will be able to run at that output for an hour with a full charge. My water boiler pulls 400 watts so you should get roughly an hour and a half. Your mileage may vary depending on how many watts your devices are, but the R600 is running them no problem.

One thing to note is that you cannot charge it and run that powerful off an appliance simultaneously.
@@DoItYourselfDad thanks. I was worried that I was investing in something that wouldn't work for me. But from what you are saying, I could probably cook a breakfast, recharge with panels, and have them ready for another use. IT probably won't be able to use my air fryer (1500W) with it, though, but it should work for my needs. Thanks again.
@@daearanion Yes, it should work, you will need a good amount of panels to be able to charge it at a decent rate though.
I ran a 1400 watt space heater for 40 minutes, a 1500 watt microwave for a few minutes to heat up a cup of water...and a 1200 watt hair dryer....in all cases it kept the wattage under 600.....maybe they fixed the problem ...just got it this week....
Can it be charged through DC in a car?
Yes, it’s not nearly as fast as charting though a wall socket but it does work.
😃🇩🇴 thank you 😃🇩🇴
This new product though...no way
Gocart! What kind of watch is that?
It's the Amazfit Trex
These devices aren't meant to power anything above 600w even though it has a 1200w surge. It may handle the surge for 1 or 2 sec but it just doesn't have the amps but if you install a soft start that might help.
The new feature x-boost which lowers the power of appliances (in theory) that don't require strict specifications might be the issue but I probably would've tried an AC unit regardless 😅
Nice video. Hate all of the negativity in the comments..... it should have built in safeties. There are soooooo many stupid people in the world. The device should be smart.
Go kart convert to go kart

Mini bike.... make it electric and I’ll buy it. 👍

Was the minute of nothing needed? I almost clicked off again
Yes, yes it was.
I'm going to be getting the ecoflow pro which is better im going to be living in a rv van im not going to be running machines like you just tablets cp and fans these smaller batteries are not ment to run these types of medicines in the first place even know it says it can don't mean you should commen sense takes over leave that to the bigger more powerful batteries this was not a good n fair review duh!
This is absolutely a fair review, if the manufacturer suggests you can run something with their product, and their product fails, how is that not fair? It also displayed that this product doesn't have the failsafes in place to protect your electronics, which their Delta model does.
@@DoItYourselfDad yes that was 8 months ago the new one i have don't do that remember updated besides im not going to run those types of hardware and no one should anyways on the smaller batteries even if they say it can
@@DoItYourselfDad but you are right it was fair video sorry about that I said it wrong
@@DoItYourselfDad besides ecoflow suck i just got 2 1500 bluettis that blows eco out of the water you need to pick n showcase better generators dude just because eco can charge faster don't mean shit thats only cool features it has duh!
