I'm a grown man, my eyes shouldn't be wet the whole way through these videos. That kid is a spectacular human being and I'm so incredibly thankful the world gets to keep that person, that he's still alive and unchanged, to Hell with the sports side of things that comes later. Thank you to Denny Kellington and all the doctors and staff and again I cannot thank Cincy enough for being so supportive, classy, and frankly "cool" (no wonder they love Joe Burrow so much). I hope we figure out a way to send a bunch of ya a bucket of wings or something. We been through too much between the mass murders and the Christmas blizzard. I promise you, everybody in Buffalo is traumatized by what happened to Damar to top it all off, and again, thank you for being so good to us about working through it

I’m not a football fan. I’m just a middle aged mama that seen it happen after, and i have been greatly invested. I prayed from the bottom of my heart for him and I’d like to think all of us who prayed, had a little to do with this remarkable recovery so far!
So happy for DeMar Hamlin and his family and friends and at least the Bills can breathe a little bit better now with all the love and thoughts given to him just makes me have faith in humanity

I will always respect doctors, nurses, medical specialists & technicians. My brother nearly died from septic shock, kidney failure & respiratory failure. But these professionals eventually saved his life. Professionals who saved Mr. Hamlin. Bills & Bengals medical staff are equally heroes. Independent medical personnel…. Heroes. Glad that the NFL had been prepared to have medical personnel to be ready to respond to the unimaginable.
My husband was septic in 2010 and we lost him twice and he ended up receiving continuous dialysis as well as being intubated. It was a long month of November and awful to deal with multiple issues. Pray Damar has a full recovery. My hubby who took a few years to be diagnosed with early onset dementia. Prayers that Damar shows improvement daily. Blessings

Everyday I have been checking the news to hear how Damar is doing when I saw what happend on that football Field a few days ago and couldn’t believe it . I said a prayer for him . Since then I have been wondering how he is doing . These doctors are angels absolutely. So is the bills medical team and what they were able to do on the field that day . God bless Damar . I am so happy that he is improving. Somebody needs to tell me that he is not my son, because that is how I have been looking at this young man! My kids are in his age range and it was heartbreaking.

If this wasn't a Professional NFL game, that person would've been dead. Im not a doctor, nor claim to be, but he's very lucky to be on that field instead of playing football in a backyard. I'd be surprised if he returns to NFL action.

Every minute a person in Cardiac Arrest waits for an AED shock is roughly a ~10% loss of survivability, which is why the national average survival rate for a *witnessed* cardiac arrest is around 10%. Prompt CPR and AED use drastically improve those numbers, which is why everyone should know how to do CPR and use an AED.

God is always good answers prayers think God for Drama and his family and doctors and the 2 coaches who got together postpone the game and put Darma life first it was a good decision to make. And think Bills mafia and all bills players and Cincinnati players as well and even everyone all over the world prayed for Damar. On TV they were giving him cpr for minutes. I would have liked to know exactly how much time lapsed once cpr started that they got a pulse. Also the time that passed how much neurological damage a typical person gets under these stressful traumatic episodes. Me personally was scared if he did survive that he would be a vegetable. It was scary sad. I'm glad he is getting better.
He received cpr on the field for 9 minutes
The lack of oxygen-rich blood is what causes brain damage. CPR can keep oxygen-rich blood flowing to the brain and other organs until emergency medical treatment can restore a typical heart rhythm.

I don't get how he had a pulse just after collapse and then not later...can someone explain? It's great that he will recover 100%, but let's not cover it up if the CPR was delayed a few minutes.
