One more thing about this set of buffs is mihoyo seems to sneakily patch his E energy particle generation to be more consistent. My ults fill up at a noticably faster rate than before.

His shield now can worth up to 20k HP, that's like adding a whole character to your team, and revive it in every less than 15 minutes.
EDIT: I mean less than 15 seconds because of his skill cooldown lol.

God, I think the geo comps are my favorite. All their bursts are so strong and they really feel like a family. These showcases are amazing.
Albedo's burst is really weak, but at least it looks cool i guess.

I'm still not sure how to build him. I was using him as a shield before with 1 hp artifact. Now that they buffed his damage, I'm leaning toward making him a dps/burst. I wonder which build would make him more fun.

Nah, not supports. Electro and Pyro are much more Main DPS elements for the archons to be. I do hope they are the best of their element at their job though.

electro reaction are kinda meh rn, so if they are making the Electro Archon a support she would not be that broken considering electro elemental reaction are meh
It seem like that is what they are going for. Archons personality-wise have been selfless so far, they are here to help you not to take the main stage, it also applies to their playstyle with both Venti and Zhongli being god tier supports.
The only archons I could see being DPS are fire (fire is a selfish, agressive element by nature so that may translate to the archon personality and gameplay) and Ice (cause the Tsaritza seem to be reckless).

I think it depends on the talent level of his meteor. I guess that at level 10 (I can't confirm it, because mine's at 10) the ATK scaling (1030%) is more potent than his 33% HP scaling

I like your videos. I am running Zhongli as shield/ult/energy battery bot with the Favonious Spear and Crit rate circlet. it's working really well. Damage is medicore, but lets face it, he is mostly just there to apply shield (debuff) and ult.

Great video! I’m going with HP sands because I like knowing that gives me HP and ATK, whereas an ATK% sands just gives me higher attack.
For practical use, definitely go for HP to make his shield stronger and actually last long enough to support your main DPS.
I got Zhongli today on his re-run so I'm here for the support guide.

I am running Zhongli on HP sands and to compensate for the atk deficiency, I gave him the Royal Spear for its Atk% stats since his crit from artifacts is fine already and the crit from the weapon's passive is just a help.
I know a lot are saying that the Royal Spear is not good, but I am experimenting on it right now.
Can't wait for his rerun in 1.5 need those two pillars from C1 . Hope I get him xD

I got the Staff of Homa on the 3rd day of the banner. It greatly increased my Zhongli's burst and normal attacks so I made him my main DPS for now untill I get the Lost Prayer or Memory of Dust for Ningguang. I still like to have a tall male geo claymore user though. That would complete my Geo team. I have a cool Idea already but I wanna translate it into a sketch before sharing it.

Only problem I have is that you kinda make it sound like the only reason your characters are dealing good damage is because of Zhongli's shield when you actually have geo resonance and Bennett's ult active as well. Just saying it could be a little misleading if people expect to deal that much more damage with Zhongli's E alone !
If you pay attention to his hold E, in one second it screams BIG DHONG ZHONG.
I got Zhongli during his banner and made him my support even though he was still crappy and people kept mocking him. Then bam, a few updates and Zhongli becomes a literal GOD. His meteor is insane. The only thing that bothers me is that you can't choose where to put the pillar.

I don't think him or any of the other 5* are broken, they're just performing like a 5* should perform so thank Geo God (ahah) that they buffed him!
Him, an ganyu are legit broken because they get rid of entire mechanics in the game.
He became inmortal, Holy crap, he just does not die
they turn the entire game into novice mode with ganyu charge attack and zhongli shield you're basically an immortal nuke
People are saying broken too loosely when the character is supposed to do that on the get go. This is what a 5 star character should feel like

Using him in my main party (Ningguang, Zhongli, Bennett, Venti) it so satisfying that I can spam all burst over and over again (Zhongli and Venti use proto starglitter and favonius Bow)

Only applies on the one that has them, if you're going for dps zhongli it would be ok especially if you have his spear

So from what I can tell u can run the bolide set on any dps as long as you run a shield unit, ie noelle, Zhongli, Xinyan and diona? I’ve heard that diona doesn’t work with bolide for reasons unknown.

My comp before the buff was Ganyu, Qiqi, Xingque and Zhongli and thanks to those shield buffs and damage buffs to his pillar he's become my secondary dps.
