That’s what happened when they’re all made in the same place in China. Even more of an insult is that the only real difference is that Nike or Adidas just says “that’s authentic, the other one isn’t”. Both made of the same shit, and both probably feel the same. Resellabilty is also another reason why these shoes are expensive. Cant really make anything reselling a used fake shoe but you can surely make something out of a real shoe despite it being used

Same reason people have decorations, they do nothing but add personalisation and look nice and if their is a popular type of decoration people do that instead of doing cheaper things that look the same. It's also because it is popular, if people want it and support it, it is more expensive but more stylish and cooler to have regardless of quality.

All branded shoes are outsourced to Taiwan companies having manufacturing plants in Vietnam or Indonesia. These are not fakes, but leakage from the very factories making the originals. May have slight defect, but still value for money.
