    Great review! I consider my Vegas hotel a place to sleep, because you are always out having fun. I like saving my money on the hotel, so I have more money for food,shows and gambling. Luxor is my favorite. The pyramid rooms have been renovated, did you stay in a premier pyramid room? They are very nice. The location is a drawback, but the tram does take you to Excalibur. then, you are not too far from MGM Grand and tram access and you can get all over the strip.

    One of my personal favorites is the Luxor. I like the quirky set-up. With it being pyramid-shaped, the rooms and elevators look completely different than any others in Vegas. I also love the selection of shows they have, particularly comedian Carrot Top (rated the funniest show in Vegas), Fantasy (an adult topless show but tastefully done so couples can enjoy it), the Blue Man Group (not my thing) and the Titanic exhibit is excellent in my view. My biggest "beef" you might say is the food. Very limited choices. And by the way, you talked about their buffet ... don't bother trying it. Very blah. And it kills me to say anything bad about the Luxor because it's very popular, affordable, and unique. I've stayed here twice and really like it.

    For me, it's Luxor. Especially if it's summer and/or if I'm renting a car and going off strip. Luxor has a very big pool area that I like. Fantasy is a very good show. MGM casinos have a much better selection of newer slot machines than Caesars does. Mandalay Bay and Excalibur are connected from the inside (nice in the winter) and between the three, you have a ton of options. If you're renting a car, Luxor is really nice because you avoid most of the strip traffic going south and you have easy access to the 15 (well, not right now) and the 215, and it's an easy drive to the southern casinos (Silverton, Green Valley, South Point, M, and soon Durango) which are all very nice. The parking garage isn't monstrous, either.
    The only thing I can say that I don't like about Luxor is the elevators in the pyramid. If you know, you know. The tower is nicer if you can get a room at the right price. But don't sleep on Luxor. If you play slots at all, and play with your card, you'll likely get comped rooms on the weekdays most weeks. Lately, MGM Grand has been my go-to, but Luxor is my backup if MGM Grand is too expensive that week, or if I'm mostly gonna be busy elsewhere/off strip. I would only stay at Excalibur if somehow even Luxor was expensive that week (big event weeks).
    Pro tip: Getting the resort credit card will enhance your experience, and the MGM Mastercard is easier and more worth to get than the Caesars card. MGM also has more nicer casinos as a whole than Caesars does. I love Caesars Palace, but it's not budget.
    Great video! Thank you :D

    • @UpUpOurWay
      @UpUpOurWay  Před rokem +1

      Thanks olddirty! Yes, those elevators, or inclinators are terrible 😂. We have been staying at Luxor more often these days and have grown to like it more than we used to. I think we used to lose there a lot and we stayed away for a while.
      One trick for Caesars is to get a Wyndham Business Earner credit card. It gives you Wyndham top status , which you can match to Caesars Diamond and get resorts fees waived, free parking, $100 dinner, and other perks. I was even able to use the points I got with the sign up bonus to try one of the Wyndham timeshare properties when prices were outrageous on the strip!

      I agree that the Luxor is a nice place to stay. I happen to like the quirkiness of the whole inclinator and room set-up. It's scary at first and the view from up higher can be daunting, but you get used to it fairly quickly. The only issue is the amount of choices you have to eat at. Not nearly as much of a variety. After a couple of days there, I'm scrambling for some place new to eat, so I mosey off to the Excalibur for that. Otherwise, the Luxor ia great - especially the shows, as you mentioned.

      @@wexfordrob also, try Sahara orca Westgate. Both a little cheaper and are connected to the strip by monorail. Traffic is a wreck with f1 construction at the moment

      I take that your question is tongue in cheek since most Vegas bloggers have Circus Circus rated as one of the lowest rated places to stay. I will say in their defense that it is a very cool place to visit. Slots for the adults, arcades for the kids, circus acts overhead, and some old time slot machines where you put those big silver dollar coins in and hear the clanging noise when you win. I've never stayed there so I can't comment about the rooms themselves.
