That second Dark Aura where you DPS race him down if you do not have enough DPS, save your ATB. Uppershot and spam sanctury again. You will survive, bahamut will keep looping this cycle till the timer is over. I was able to save Aerith from being splatted by dropping a heal weapon for the current crash battle weapon. Brings her pdef up and more HP.
This is tough to say. I personally think that magic is more important for VH fight but that assumes you have the dmg to potentially kill him if one member goes down to the second Phys move he does. @@chelseastrmserver2813
Thank you for showing this! All day I have maximizing my dps with aerith sephiroth and cloud got pwr to 240 previous best was 200. I had it in my head you had to beat bahamut before mega flare went off like og ff titles managed to get him to 5% at my best. Your way was so much better

I did it with sephiroth aerith and cloud. My sephiroth and cloud was full dps with op10 muramasa hitting 10-15k with aerith no ob sun umbrella. I dont have bandaged sword so megaflare kill me no matter what I do. My edge wing sephiroth is only op3 hitting 6-9k. He has torn wing for the phy defense boost to help survive the first divebomb. It does reduce the dive bomb damage down to 5.5k roughly. Aerith is full heal and debuff and buff. Debrave/Barrier/Cura materia on aerith. Barrier does help remove the physical debuff bahamut give. Cura is basically to do a bigger heal to whoever get hit with his umbral strike. It does heal roughly 80% of the damage umbral strike does cause I don't have any mag Def buff to help. Fairy wind is basically cure all simple. When he does his first gauge dpa that down as fast as you can so he can slow down his megaflare count. By the time he does he second megaflare count I would have 3 summon ready to deplete that Guage. So his megaflare count would just slow down alot. I dont have and diamond sigil to so when he does his sigil phase you must break that asap or his divebomb would kill one character and basically a restart. Cloud muramasa and buster sword/ Sephiroth edge wing and torn wing/ Aerith fairy wind and umbrella. Sephiroth and Cloud materia is all just stats boost help and sigil break. Aerith all cure debuff/buff. I killed bahamut right at when his countdown hit to 1 for megaflare. My summon does loop around for a 2nd round at the end to make it easier to nuke him. That how I did mine. Havnt done ex1 yet but since I have almost 300 stamina save up imma run my main team to 65 before trying ex1. Hope this help anyone.

Nice clear. I was planning on using a similar team and losing some damage for cloud by bringing the bandaged sword. Got pretty lucky pulling one copy back when I went for sephs wind costume so can finally put it to use!
Yes, I was considering trying to work Matt in for his limit and/or defender ability weapon, but then I was sacrificing too much dmg. Maybe could have swapped him in for Aerith, but I actually pulled a copy of this sword in my free 10 cloud pulls I got this morning. Seemed like a sign!
God tier timing, if anyone has the same "issue" as me getting the divebomb before the aura phase, still stick to what Nitelight says and you will still clear roughly around "Two-One" on the counter for the dps check Megaflare.
No matter what i do i cant survive the second divebomb… What am i doing wrong. I even have tried max health close to 9k on all characters. Is anyone else having this problem? I have the same build with sanctuary but i am using barrett/bazooka for magic attack down
Hard to tell without seeing the stats. I have had runs where Aerith died from the second dive bomb, but not the other two. Mostly dude to hp and phys def stat. But if he targets Aerith, maybe you can just DPS him the rest of the way after?
Hmmm.. When he does Umbra Strikes, it shows a cane (magical) next to the name of the move, which would indicate magical, ..... or did I imagine that? Quite possibly lol. The single target charge move is physical, however.
Umbral strikes is indeed magical. However, it can hit one target or he can throw one bolt at two different targets. The dive ability that he does is physical.
@@jace743 at the time in the video he was talking about dive bomb or least dive bomb was playing while he was talking vaguely about bahamut dmg, not a light/normal attack. Light attacks come in both magical and physical and do roughly 1k dmg or less.
This fight is beyond ridiculous. This is the most difficult one sided fight in any ff ever. It’s not the mega flare, it’s the divebomb after it. Unless your a.i. is lucky, you don’t have enough time to break all the sigils
kuja blade also works very well here, didnt need to bring bandage sword cs my crit cloud was doing 31k damage a pop with 10% chance doing 44kand so hitting certain HP trescholds i skipped the mid megaflare phase entirely, for EX 1 santuary is a must
Because it was a limited and utility/debuff weap, At that time I decided to pull Just 1 time to get at least a 3star, so If i Need later on to use It, i could then use specific part to 5 star It It Just so happened that I pulled the 5star version on the First pull🫣😆
@@Nitelight9 i think the best way to approach limited/collab weap banners, Is to 1)w8 until all the banner of the event are out 2)pull at least 1 time on each banner to get a Copy of the weap, 3star Is enough, u can decide later to raise the rarity if for whatever reason u need the 5star to pass contents 3)value if a weap can change your gameplay and go pull Deep to at least ob6 In my case on the FF IX banners I pulled 1 time on sephy 1time on aerith Then I decide to go Deep for Cloud cs his weap was so broken And I spent 54k of my hardly saved blue Crystal on the Cloud/tifa banner, got an average 2stamps and got so lucky with the pulls that in the end I got Zidane sword to OB 10 in Just 3pages!!! I succeed to do it with : Tifa, Sephiroth, Aerith (around 220k power) Tifa : Amarant's Claws OB10 (high physical atk + self buff) + Tiger Fangs (Debuff MATK) Sephiroth : Edged Wings OB10 (high MATK) + Northern Lights (Debuff PATK) Aerith : Fairy Tale + Chocobo Staff + Debrave Shiva on Sephiroth, Somersault on Tifa (debuff pdef/mdef), Healing Wind on Aerith Tifa have more than 8k HP with FF9 weapon and gear 😉 Sephiroth and Aerith had more than 7,5k HP Was a hard fight, but Aerith could survive to the 1st physical atk from boss (debrave then sephiroth skill = high patk debuff on boss). And Chocobo Staff is nice for mdef buff when the boss put debuff on you. I'm using auto-mode and tru to use right skill when needed. But the hardest part was the sigil break... failed it most of time because IA is using wrong skill during it and then teals on defense mode when I just need one more hit 😢 And need to me in semi-auto with atk stance at the end to avoid useless heal Better wait few days/weeks for have main character lvl65 for doing it. I don't thinkg the pdef/mdef debuff is needed, but if you don't have PATK/MATK one, you won't survive. So Sephiroth FF9 debuff weapon should be really nice for this fight (but I haven't it)
Yes!! I truly don't understand why the AI suddenly won't use the sigils during sigil break! Driving me nuts! lol I also tried with Seph using Torn Wing for def bonus, which absolutely helped me survive the charged phys attacks, but I couldn't survive the megaflares. Flare aura sucks so hard. i cant clear this stage because im lacking in defensive boosts up.. i either have tor try with chocobo staff or wait until i got more of aerith´s mithryl rod... idk overall im dissapointed about bahamut. While i think its cool to get more challinging fights bahamut feels like he kinda needs too much of everythign to be clearable.. already struggling with vh is bummer knowing that ex is required for the full stat stream imo
I can tell you that I experimented with VH & it is totally possible to beat it without an AOE mdef up skill! I did it with only solid manaward from Chocobo staff because you have time to cast exactly 3 4-ATB moves! Just have to make sure to get on Aerith and start saving some ATB shortly before he does the buff/debuff. Let me know how it goes for you!

No matter how many times I use any debuff like omnistrike, it only debuffs him once. So if I use omnistrike twice, I do not get any little arrows on the icon showing. No idea why. What do I need to have to get him to debuff with the arrows please? He is too,strong if I can only reduce magic at x1 at a time. Thanks.

@@Nitelight9 VH, was like that for 10 runs. Now on my 11th run it seems to work fine, but the last phase started at five, then I hit him with judgment bolt and diamond dust and he got a third bar. I got that down but afterwards the countdown went to two. I swear this is the buggiest fight so far.
Hmm.. I may not have paid close enough attn on the VH fight, but I know for a fact that the EX version does this by design. Basically, the second countdown starts/picks up from where it was when you broke him on the first countdown. I just wasn't aware that this mechanic happened in the VH version. @@THC007

I've tried running the same crew but tifa will not break attack with no mercy. And yes it's a five star. Only upgraded twice tho. Also clouds sanctuary won't remove debuff even with 3 uses. What am I doing wrong
Just manually make Tifa do the uppershot for the debuff if she won't automatically do it. And sanctuary should be mid potency even at 5 star. Something is off, but I have no clue without actually seeing it.
This is a cool strategy but my account, while being capable of hitting 240k, is lacking a lot of weapons that can buff my team or mag. Atk. On the enemy. I’m trying hard to find a strategy that works but he always kills me right at the end lol. Like 5% hp left. If I am able to get this to work I can almost let the AI do everything and focus solely on limit breaks but I have yet to beat this even once. Big sad.
Holy shit I just beat Bahamut VH Everyone 62+ none 65 Auto with interfernce from me. If you can get the right stats give everyone a barrier. on my team only Aerith had it be I see best if all have it. Cloud - Maritime sword mh ob 10 (any high damage weapon will work) other hand Bandaged sword (this is a must) mine is OB 6 as of 2 days ago hp 8000+ PATK 3100 (As high as you can) PDEF 135 (as high as you can) Aerith - Fairy tale (must) other hand Sun Umbrella (Must) HP 8000+ PDEF 135 (as high as you can) Sephiroth - Nameless (Must) to break Sigil other hand Kuja's Spirit (Absobluly Must) Since nameless hit so weak he spams this allllll the time and you want him to. only once had to make it do it. hp 8000 + (mine was 10k with I switched to nameless from Ice edge) MATK 2600 (Goes low because you have Nameless) PDEF 135 (as high as you can)
This is a very smart strategy! Using nameless for the 2 ATB hits to break the sigil and otherwise complete debuffer is very smart! Well played!!!!! And on auto too.. I'm impressed :)
Interesting point. For me, using tifa as a healer is problematic because I need her atb for debuffs. Also, when the game launched, Tifa didn't have an AoE heal weapon yet. (It came shortly after launch on a banner) but most people already rerolled accounts for Fairy Tale OR Prime number.
I have Fairy Tail with 1 white star (I don't know the star names) and Tifa's Lifeguard Wraps with 3 white stars. Her heal seems decent enough at 1700-1900, but it's still nothing compared to what I've seen from Curaga or Healing Wind. I also have Prime Number (but it's purple and not leveled, as I didn't know it was good.) My team is Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa and it's worked for the most part, but Bahamut Very Hard and the Ex versions of some of the events shut me down entirely. @@Nitelight9
I had this problem too until I started manually jumping to characters to cast their ruins.. this was especially true for Cloud, the AI didn't want to use his sigil break moves. Idk why.

Funny you mention this because I'm about to put out a guide on the EX version soon. I just completed it yesterday. I'll give an in depth analysis of what it takes and where my personal pit falls are. Part of this fight for me is luck. I have now cleared the EX version twice in the course of about 20 attempts.
Didnt work for me :/ guess I’ll have to brute force over power it and it will take some time to do that. Bahamut is a bitch. OG game was just so much easier you just picked up a summon materia and you were golden. Can you imagine if there will be a kotr summon ya right I’ll have a coronary if someone binds that one.

You can farm hard for now and try to use the Weapons you acquired from it. Since it has good mdef and diamond Sigil break.

After failing about 8 times, I redid my team and finally beat it this morning! Seph, Barrett, and Cloud. CP was about 171k.

High Lightning Pot Cloud with Murasame is worse than Zidane's sword?
Not sure. I just set up for physical non elemental dmg, but I think I could have actually done more dps with a lightning build here.

Go into your settings > battle > Display Buff & DeBuff Icon Details - set that to on. Let me know if this helps!

How do you get the uppershot to stack 3 times? It doesnt seem to work for me
You have to perform the ability multiple times. Each one should lower his buff by 2 stacks and then you can start stacking yours.

For some reason the second megaflare counter starts at two for me and its almost impossible to stop it. I can survive it, but man it's bs...
Is this on VH or EX?
@@Nitelight9 VH, was like that for 10 runs. Now on my 11th run it seems to work fine, but the last phase started at five, then I hit him with judgment bolt and diamond dust and he got a third bar. I got that down but afterwards the countdown went to two. I swear this is the buggiest fight so far.
Hmm.. I may not have paid close enough attn on the VH fight, but I know for a fact that the EX version does this by design. Basically, the second countdown starts/picks up from where it was when you broke him on the first countdown. I just wasn't aware that this mechanic happened in the VH version.

I've tried running the same crew but tifa will not break attack with no mercy. And yes it's a five star. Only upgraded twice tho. Also clouds sanctuary won't remove debuff even with 3 uses. What am I doing wrong
Just manually make Tifa do the uppershot for the debuff if she won't automatically do it. And sanctuary should be mid potency even at 5 star. Something is off, but I have no clue without actually seeing it.

This is a cool strategy but my account, while being capable of hitting 240k, is lacking a lot of weapons that can buff my team or mag. Atk. On the enemy. I’m trying hard to find a strategy that works but he always kills me right at the end lol. Like 5% hp left. If I am able to get this to work I can almost let the AI do everything and focus solely on limit breaks but I have yet to beat this even once. Big sad.
I understand. At least you're super close! Usually I have found that whenever I am that close, it can be done with just a few adjustments

This is a very smart strategy! Using nameless for the 2 ATB hits to break the sigil and otherwise complete debuffer is very smart! Well played!!!!! And on auto too.. I'm impressed :)
I have yet to find a video of someone clearing difficult content with Tifa as their healer. I feel like this game punishes you for not raising Aerith.
Interesting point. For me, using tifa as a healer is problematic because I need her atb for debuffs. Also, when the game launched, Tifa didn't have an AoE heal weapon yet. (It came shortly after launch on a banner) but most people already rerolled accounts for Fairy Tale OR Prime number.
I have Fairy Tail with 1 white star (I don't know the star names) and Tifa's Lifeguard Wraps with 3 white stars. Her heal seems decent enough at 1700-1900, but it's still nothing compared to what I've seen from Curaga or Healing Wind. I also have Prime Number (but it's purple and not leveled, as I didn't know it was good.) My team is Cloud, Sephiroth, Tifa and it's worked for the most part, but Bahamut Very Hard and the Ex versions of some of the events shut me down entirely. @@Nitelight9

I always wait for the co-op to come out to farm it. Much more fun and way way easier/faster :)
I never have enough time to get all the sigils.
I had this problem too until I started manually jumping to characters to cast their ruins.. this was especially true for Cloud, the AI didn't want to use his sigil break moves. Idk why.
@@Nitelight9 yeah even when i manually change characters I still don’t have enough time unless I use a diamond sigil weapon. I’m not sure why but maybe it’s a delay on ios mobile version?

Bahamut ex1 one shot you within 10 seconds if you don't bring down his 5+ magic stac to -3 and have +2 magic defense. Just imagine the whole fight.

Funny you mention this because I'm about to put out a guide on the EX version soon. I just completed it yesterday. I'll give an in depth analysis of what it takes and where my personal pit falls are. Part of this fight for me is luck. I have now cleared the EX version twice in the course of about 20 attempts.

OG game was just so much easier you just picked up a summon materia and you were golden. Can you imagine if there will be a kotr summon ya right I’ll have a coronary if someone binds that one.

@@Nitelight9 naw not yet i went ahead and bound the ifrit/bahamut dbl summon and then leviathan. you'd think that ifrit/bahamut duo would be more difficult but nope. i gotta upgrade my weps and upgrade my chars before i give him another go.
