I love my E25RCRD! Its a 84 and its a powerhouse. I had to mention it since that 15 is the same decal pattern and it's beautiful! My grandpa loved Johnson/Evinrude motors. We lost him a couple years back. If i could of showed him CZcams videos like yours it would of blew his mind. Keep up the content.
This motor became available on marketplace. I made contact with the owner and talked to her about making the 30 minute drive to check it out. The owner informed me that they had a summer cottage in my hometown and they would be to their cottage the following day so I wouldn't have to drive out of town. That made this deal even better! Thanks for watching and eventually I hope to have better camera equipment and better videos!
Nice, I bought an old jon boat that came with a garage kept 1975 evinrude 9.9 and was lucky enough to find a 15hp carb on ebay. Got it about 2 years ago and it still starts right up after tuning it up.
I run a 92 15hp johnson on my 14ft duracraft and it rips. I also had another parts motor that after close inspection needed very little to be a runner. Ran the numbers and my 15 parts motor is actually a 9.9 with a 15hp carb. Hoping to find a 9.9 carb for it to put it back to original.
Boy o boy! My favorite year and HP! Where the heck did you find such a beauty? The water indicator stream is pretty weak, perhaps the hose is just plugged up. Please check it out before taking this gem on the water, I'm so envious
Would you believe this!! It was listed on Marketplace yesterday, in the town of Standish which is about 25 minutes away from AuGres (my town) My good friend Brandon, in Toledo has been looking for a 15 hp for weeks now. Well, he messaged back right away and said "Grab it for me please!" So I made contact with the seller and they brought it to AuGres!!! $600 later, I'm out here enjoying Brandon's new motor for him! 😁
Thanks for your video, can anyone tell me if I can swap a problematic fuel system on a 1987 8hp Johnson, it's the one with the fuel primer/choke system, for a carbie from an earlier model 7.5hp with a functioning carburettor [this outboard is for spare parts] It does look like it will fit.
Thanks for your reply, I swapped them and it runs without any problems, I just needed to drill a hole in the cowl to take the old style carbies mixture adjustment knob and block the hose that went from the original carbie to the manifold.

Very nice!
I just bought the exact same motor (E15BACSD) few days ago. Tuned the carb, and got it running really nice. Cant wait to test it on a lake!
They are quick for their size! Thanks for watching and please smash that subscribe button!
Evinrude/Johnson made a great 15 hp, great runners
Yep! I also have a 9.9 Johnson and it rips on my Sea Nymph 14R! Sounds really aggressive too, I love it!
That will run forever
You bet! Love me some Evinrude & Johnsons!! Thanks for watching 👀!

@@ALVintageOutboards Tell Brandon to take good care of this bargain, can't replace it with today's heavy four strokes for sure

You may need to synchronize it differently somehow is the only thing I can think of. Let us all know!
