Hi Tory! Thank you for sharing! I’m a 60 year old granny that has crocheted since I was 6 . My mother taught me the chain stitch to keep me busy. That on ball of yarn was crocheted so many times. My daughter is an elementary librarian with girls who want a crochet club! So my daughter has committed to learning if I will come teach… a resounding yes!
Currently I am working on an All About Ami crocheted daisy granny square purse project. Starting out with a pillow first to be sure my squares are consistent in size.

Something you should know is that collecting yarn is a separate hobby to crocheting (and/or knitting). Seriously, you may find yourself just collecting yarn for no reason!

I love your journal! I'm so happy that you are enjoying crocheting! It's a craft that is close to my heart as I was first taught by my grandmother. I have met very few people you didn't make a hash of the 1st thing they crocheted (or any other craft/art project). Lucky for me mine has been lost to time =). My crochet project I am doing right now is the Baby Henry Blanket It was a CAL a few years ago and I have really wanted to crochet mine own. Its a very slow process for me but I will get there eventually!
FYI for you or any other newbies: I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or if you have come across it but BE AWARE, especially if you are buying patterns internationally, that there is a difference in terminology in US and British patterns. One names according to how many times you pull the yarn through and the other names according to how many loops on the hook. It can be really confusing because both use the same names and abbreviations for the most part.

I don’t do arigurami but I do other things. Crochet has become my passion. This year I am making my first temperature blanket and I am loving it. I’m crocheting a large Halloween blanket made with simple granny squares and a Halloween granny square cardigan. The fun part about these projects is making some squares with glow in the dark yarn!

Thank you for sharing! I've wanted to make a "fiber craft" journal and you've given me some good ideas! I crochet, cross stitch, and started some embroidery. My favorite thing to do is make baby blankets for all of my friends when they have a baby 🩵🩷 I haven't done amigurumi crochet yet, but my brother gave me a kit to make a nativity set that's been patiently waiting to be picked up!

@@CreativeMindsCoffeeGrinds I recommend it!! There are lots of great tutorials, and you don't need much to get started. And then just like with yarn you'll be shocked how much thread and fabric you have in a short time 😅😅
Crochet can be just as addictive as bullet journaling! I learned how to make a dishcloth from a friend 10 years ago, and I've made so many things - from hats and blankets to my very own crocheted Infinity Gauntlet. I'm starting my next project today, a mesh shrug to wear to a music festival in a couple weeks. Your cow and your wonky bee are both so cute! ❤🧶

I have zero knowledge in knitting or crochet. And I just finished my 1st knitting project of making headband last night! It wasn't perfect though, got mistakes here and there, but the feeling of completing first project is so satisfying! 🧶

@@CreativeMindsCoffeeGrinds I will absolutely recommend making a personal blanket first. For me, I get bored of doing the same stitch over and over again. But it’s totally doable!! And they are nice and warm!
I crochet - but just a little 😉🧶I've made a couple of baby blankets, but I mostly just make dishcloths. And I haven't done anything in a while (well, I pulled out some yarn to make a couple quick coasters a few weeks ago, but other than that, I haven't crocheted in close to a year. I purchased a crochet project book kit a few years ago but never actually used it, so I decluttered it. But this journal is making me *think* about making one, or at least adding a crochet collection to my next bujo

I love the idea of a crochet BuJo spread and attempted to start ages ago. It didn't work, but I think this layout will for me, so thank you for sharing. Currently, I've got three WIPs...an alpine stitch blanket, a fpdc/bpdc blanket, and a tapestry crochet scarf. I've been crocheting for more than two decades now and I am still scared to try wearables.

I've got 3 projects going at the moment. A purse, a laundry basket, and a shoulder bag. The purse I'm trying to make up as I go, so it's slow moving, and I had to put it down for a while. I hadn't thought of keeping a crochet journal. What a great idea! I crocheted as a kid, but lost the skill. So many years later and I'm re-learning.
I was briefly taught how to chain stitch back in elementary school and then completely lost the skill. I don’t even think I could could it as a skill; I chain stitched for about a day 😂 “Relearning” has been so much fun fun for me. You can do it!!

@@CreativeMindsCoffeeGrinds I was taught by my grandmother to crochet first. When I wanted to make more garments like the ones I would see in fashion magazines I then learned how to knit. Both knitting and crocheting were a challenge for me since I’m left-handed. I use the technique that gets the project done so I love them both equally.
I am working on a striped blanket with super bulky yarn. Bernat blanket yarn is what I’m using and I absolutely love it!!! Size N for the hook!
I’ve seen bernat blanket yarn at Joanns! I’ve been using a lot of michaels sweet snuggles lite and premier parfait chunky but I’ll have to give bernat a try 😊

I'm crocheting a humpback whale for my newborn daughter. The pattern is by Yan Schenkel in her 'Animal Friends of Pica Pau3.' The lingo is a bit different from what I was use to so I ended up having to frog allot. nontheless I'm still enjoying how it's coming out. :)

This journal is gorgeous! I started to crochet at beginning of year and I have a teddy bear mostly finished. Just needs to be put together. I’m stuck though. It’s my first project and it was free pattern. There are no instructions on when to stuff or how to end each body part or how to join everything. I’m super busy in summer so my bear sits and waits. I truly have no idea how to proceed
Definitely look up a CZcams video! That’s how I’ve learned everything from magic rings to stitches to attaching two things together. My favorite account that I find super helpful for learning to crochet is The Woobles. They’re super slow and descriptive and helpful!

I'm crocheting a lion for my kindergarten class, at my school kindergarten classes have animal names and my class is the lion class😊 I'm also working on a seal, a unicorn and a penguin at the same time cause they all looked cute and I couldn't choose😂❤ maybe I'll need you set up a journal like this too!

Just be aware that US crochet is named slightly differently to UK crochet terms. It can be really confusing for a newbie especially when buying patterns
