something like this happened to one of my friend back at our islamic school. His Mom was Muslim and Dad was Buddhist, but he was always interested in buddhist and he was confused, after a lot talks with friends he really chose to follow his heart and now he is a proud buddhist. 🙂

I am glad people are being more open about these things, I grew up with parents that were different religions for a long time, which one parent switched to being Muslim which made my whole family Muslim, it was hard going to church and then the Masjed and being different, now I refuse to wear a hijab but still am a Muslim. turn and that's my grandmother passed, it was what brought me closer to Islam even thought people can turn a blind eye to what's going on in your life, every loss is hard to excuse

I'm so happy for you. I'm Muslim from Somalia and I live in Switzerland. I was happy to hear that you don't let them feel you bad. In my case it was my teacher who made me feel that way. One time she saw a picture where there was a woman who was getting beat up by a man and showed it to the whole class and asked me if it is ok for me. ( She meant if it's ok for Somali men to beat women.) Who asks that kind of question to a 12 years old girl. I'm happy for you. Now I'm learning not to let people feel me bad about my religion and my skin color.

@@anonymousbutnot9703 I studied in a religious school, we had a couple of hindu and christian kids there too, they were never forced to read islamic religious books or partake in prayers, nobody called them names or bullied them, we did all we could to make them feel equally loved and respected. Humanity is about loving your neighbor, you don't deserve to be called a human being if you cannot stand up for another poor soul.
