- This M79 sawed-off grenade launcher is the mini version of the legendary M79 grenade launcher. The shorten barrel and stock, and the folding ladder-style leaf-type rear sight is removed to help to maintain batter maneuver for close battle or any other situations. Full metal build with real wood hand-grip. Trigger guard can be rotate either to the left or right side by pushing the detent on the front.

The trigger guard is made like that for cold winter. If you have thick gloves on it is much easier to operate the trigger without a guard

Great first impression review!!!
I am a big fan of grenade launchers and have tried several different ones, including the M79 sawed off!
On the plus side, it is a short, compact, stand alone, with a good weight on it. Ideal for close encounters!
On the flip side, it is a little bulky to carry on a side holster, though you can modify some to accomodate it. You can also get the detachable clips so you sling it. One problem i have had with mine is that the safety switch is somewhat fragile and tends to wear down after some time, which makes it somewhat risky to run around if you carrying live rounds chambered (especially with pyrotechnics taginns).
The other potential issue is it’s lack of aiming sights, which are very desirable once you start engaging targets at longer distances (up to 190 yds, if you are carrying the newer Fate rounds from taginns)
There is also a bandolier you can get sometimes on evike that has a pocket/ pouch for the m79 and loops for your rounds that works very well for running it in the field.

Tim where can you use them grenades as I'm looking at using the M203 grenade launcher and it seems like most sites in the uk have banned them... any help would be appreciated.... cheers Wayne

Could you actually fire a flare round from this you reckon?
Nah. Not this version. This doesn’t appear to have an actual hammer that cocks back and instead seems to be a pressure type trigger like some airsoft shotguns where the trigger directly depresses the valve with the “firing pin”. You need something that can actually strike a primer rather than depress a valve. Only M79 clones that could do that would be the Spikes Tactical Thumper (a really true to life M79 clone 37mm flare gun) or the Tac-M79 flare launcher that’s basically the Tac79 with wood furniture.
@@twilightzone39 thanks your answer nailed it, I saw a vid one guy did of the spikes tactical one and it seems that the barrel was not a true 40mm it was 37 or something, love the simplicity in the design of the M79
@@twilightzone39 ah yeah you've mentioned that one there, I see some people firinh real M79's at a range in cambodia and I'm like damn, dunno if I would trust a tourist range with grenade rounds! You never know though, would be cool to hear that bloop maybe one for the bucket list

Have you got a link for the TAG gear? I've never though of using this or a UGL. Might have a look into it.
The Heresy Group had a look and those are going to hurt haha. Also another question, I'm looking for a BFG similar to the alpha tec hex grenade. Those are discontinued but I'm really after a BFG with multiple blanks to save time. Any ideas?

If you are looking for a multi-shot easy to reload BFG, look no further than the TRMR.
Upside: cheap in the long run. Reusable. Can run on different primers. Great for CQB or place with hard surfaces. Practically indestructible.
Downside: initially expensive. Heavy. Will only work on hard surfaces.
There are special pouches you can use for them (some nice 3D printed ones), with easy access for a fast deployment in cqb situations
