Here is the first official front row on ride POV’s from the opening day of the awesome brand new Minifigure Speedway at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort
Seemingly the park now allow on ride filming with an action camera but it has to be properly secured with a chest harness or wrist strap…..don’t film with your phones or handheld cameras
This brand new rollercoaster is 2 separate coasters both built by Zierer and one of there popular Force models, this is the first of its kind built by the company and it’s super smooth
The ride opened to the public on the 6th April 2024 and it will be extremely popular for them, it will s a shuttle coaster meaning you go forward and then backwards

Surprised to hear that Merlin owned park permits onride filming. That’s great
Same 😂 I had no idea till he told us yesterday, I was there and absolutely gutted 😢 only had a stick for the camera but they only allow it with a chest, wrist mount. I am REALLLY hoping Thorpe and Alton towers follow suit too 👏👏
I’m surprised as well!
They don’t you have to apply for permission
@@CMortimer93I don’t think they do but they might
@@Uniquely_Martin u don’t I used to film with my kids vtech camera rides
More of these Zierer Force shuttle models should be built everywhere.
This looks like a perfect ride for Legoland and families
Definitely
Going tomorrow! Gonna try and ride this as soon as possible!
Have a good time
Visiting this weekend cuz I’m a Windsor local. So excited to try it
how was it?
@@em_maLind it was good, you can really feel the g forces
@@user-OfficialMiles4602 i’m so exited
I was excited to try this when we visited last Saturday but I didn't like it. It doesn't feel very fast or high, yet it rattled around and hurt my head. When we reached the midway point before it goes backwards, my feeling wasn't excitement or fear, but feeling slightly resigned to the second half of the ride. It looks and sounds so smooth from off the ride, I was really surprised.
The theming felt half done. There's a bit where the riders split into teams and are assigned a Lego minifigure captain. Brilliant! But that's the beginning and end of that. There's no further connection that I could tell. I didn't even know who 'won' - which given the premise felt like something missing. There's no point where you feel ahead or behind - I've been on non-race themed dueling coasters where the sense of ahead or behind was clear.
It's nice to get a modern coaster in the park but I felt like it missed its target - which I would define as 'the kids who ride The Dragon'. This one LOOKS like it's a big step up but I didn't think it was as exhilarating as The Dragon. In my group the kids were intimidated by this ride and didn't even want to try it.
The more I think about it, the less it felt like minifigures racing in cars.
On the plus side (but symptomatic of a problem) the queue was tiny compared with the other rides - it was shorter than The Dragon, the log flume, the pirate ship...pretty much anything.
I know this is quite negative - I don't think it was awful. I would ride again if my kids changed their minds next time. But it lacked that wonderful 'family coaster' feel I was looking for - for me it's not as good as The Dragon or The Vampire (Chessington) or Hagrid's Bike Ride (Universal). It's better than the Flying Fish (Thorpe Park).
These coasters actually look pretty cool! Hoping to experience these 2 new coasters next year!
They are great
@@Coaster_Crazy not been to the park since October 2020 so would be great to get back to my childhood park in 2025 and experience Flight if the Sky Lion for my 1st time too!
It is fun
We are visiting in May. Super excited to ride this!!! Edit: Rode this yesterday and we loved it! Also rode flight of the sky lion for the first time and it was amazing! Got my bobsandbits plushie on my bed 😊
Happy days
Minifigure Speedway looked a good coaster & ride there Andy 👍
Looks fantastic, some whippy transitions!
It’s pretty good, way better than the Vekoma versions
Brilliant pov
Thanks
My fav ride in the park, I went today and I went on it twice 😅
Great work Andy 👍🏼
This looks so fun, can't wait to ride in June! 😍
Very cool.
There already open! I went today
going on this on saterday so exited
Just went on this. Absolutely goated
Why are you goated ??
@@Coaster_Crazy no the ride is
Nice video, I experienced yesterday afternoon before ride & park closure, only got to experience "Legends". Intense on front row going backwards & non on going forwards. But good experience it was, on next visit will try & experience "All Stars" & maybe "Legends" again? But nice vlog, really enjoyed & look forward to more in future. 😀👍
Thanks
Great POV’s Andy
Thanks mate
@@Coaster_Crazy you are welcome
In the car right now IM SOOOO EXCITED
That was EPIC!!!!
TEAM LEGENDS FOREVER
It's like the bullet but no loop
Legends is definitely the better of the two 👍🏎️
They are both the exact same lol
@@Coaster_Crazyif they were exact the same they would clash ;)
i came here 7 days ago and it was still building
They are still building it now lol, it’s not finished yet, they just wanted to get it open while it was still the Easter holiday
All stars/red/orange side looks quite a bit better imo.
Go on this before 13 which is at Alton Towers
Do u know if they allow wrist strap secured cameras, so I can record my face yknow.
I have a gopro and a wind thing, just need to know about what they do and do not allow, is it only for minifigure speedway or for anything else.
Yes I did both forward and rear facing povs with no issues as they said it was ok with a secure action camera only
I can almost see my house from up there 😂
I'm gonna have to try and stop myself from shouting "BUS WANKERS!" on that airtime hill
Haha lol
Update: I rode it and I shouted "Bus Wankers!"
So can you film on all the rides at legoland now or just speedway? Also do u have to ask for permission or can you just rock up with a camera and get on
As far as I’m aware you can film on Minifigure Speedway with a secure action camera however not sure it’s the same for the rest of the rides lol
@@Coaster_Crazy very odd lmao i guess they just dont mind people promoting it as theyve literally done no marketing idk
That might be the case however one of the staff members did say you can on all rides all the time it’s just been relaxed more and they realise that there is a lot of CZcamsrs and influencers these days not to allow it as long as it’s safe to do so
Hi andy. I just realised you have not posted anything on your crane crazy channel for a while. Are you still a crane operator or has the channel just hit a dead end. I really enjoy your crane videos and miss the content.
Yes I’m still a crane operator but the channel is on hold
Great POVs! Re-upload?
Yes! I had a spelling mistake lol I was at a gig in london so I couldn’t see what I had put lol
@@Coaster_Crazy Haha fairs. Do you have a preference red or blue side?
@@crashcoaster3852 yeah he put ledgends instead of legends haha
I’m watching this because I’m going tommo
Enjoy
@@Coaster_Crazy thanks I will
The ride gets real close to that mansion huh
Yeah that’s the park offices
For too long, merlin's on ride filming policy has been a total PR Disater for them. Glad to see some common sense now.
I don’t think they see how popular and helpful on ride POV’s are not just for the person filming them but for people who can’t ride and great for social media and promotional purposes
@@Coaster_Crazy TPW just replied to my comment and they say POVs were not allowed yesterday! Well done you for trying and getting away with it....rather than brown nosing the park so you get to see a building site once in a while!
How did you get to film on the ride?just watched theme park worldwide and he said you wasn’t allowed to film on there
Shawn won't be happy be throwing his toys out of his pram when he does not get his own way lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@rainshine3457don’t diss Shawn he’s a lovely bloke
@@shaved_wombat lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They allow on ride POV’s !! I asked 5 members of staff and said it was ok however my friends went today and were told off for filming on The Dragon
@@Coaster_Crazy not very consistent then are they
Looks better than Velociraptor at Paultons
It is
If i go to legoland windsor again, i will 100% ride this
Same it looks awesome!
How did you get permission to film on this ride?
They allow secure action cameras, I asked and was allowed to
@@Coaster_Crazy Thats crazy, I had no idea, I remember meeting you that day, I didnt see a mount anywhere on you? You spoke to my dad about the speed and how they could make it faster, idk if u would remember
Am I allowed to film as I’m going tomorrow, but thought you couldn’t?
Don’t ask me lol as long as it’s a secure action camera then it should be fine
Do you think Minifigure Speedway will be open at Christmas time?
Yes I’m sure it will be as it’s not a water ride
This coaster is one of the most unique Zierer Force models of all time.
What about the one at Bellwarde !?
Zierer have definitely upped their game with this ride. It's a shame I won't get to work on it unless I get relocated in the park. 🥲
That’s a shame and yeah they make some good stuff these days
