As far I know, Cable is the son of Scott Summers and Madelyn Prior AKA Goblin Queen. Scott Summer's Brother is Alex Summers AKA Havok, Christopher Summers AKA Corsair is Scott's Father who formed the galactic group known as the Star-jammers. His wife, Kate Summers was killed by Lilandra's Brother d'ken. Mr. Sinister was Scott Summer's Adopted Father (which I'm surprised to hear this), Scott's third Brother is Gabriel Summers AKA Vulcan. Nate Summers is alternate version of Cable. Alex Summers and Janet Van dye have a daughter named Kate. Then there's Cable's son Genesis and his daughter Hope.
Didn’t strife kidnap his son an he became genesis for apocalypse too

There's also Adam Neramani, Adam X/X-Treme, he's Scott, Alex, and Gabriel's half brother.

As someone who is getting back into collecting comics after 30 years off, this is actually quite helpful.
Comics suck now. People only read manga and indie comics.
Favourite family of Marvel, especially Cyclops but love how overcomplicated its become.

I 100% agree the Summers/Grey family has the most complicated history in comics. My favorite of Scott's kids is X-Man, I honestly was hoping to see Nate Grey return before A.v.X.v.E. Judgement just to see him & Cable team-up. Though I pity Madelyne Pryor the most because of the number of times she has been betrayed.

He only can't control it because of brain damage. Yeah, disabilities and powers intersecting makes for some strange combinations.
not to mention that while he has not the most articulated of powers, his DNA is still sought out for evil purposes.

What are you talking about? Adam-X can open his eyes. (His powers are his blood becomes acid-like when it's exposed to air.)
Honestly, I would not shed a tear if Mr. Sinister were somehow paralyzed, sat facing a nuclear warhead twenty feet away from him and time were somehow slowed enough so he could watch and feel himself be obliterated at 1 to 5% real life speed.
In all seriousness, that was an excellent breakdown, Amanda. It pretty much answers anything that anyone would want to know about the Summers family.

Gambit too. He's most likely a Summers brother.
What about Gambit? In the X-Men: The End miniseries it was revealed that Gambit is a mixed DNA clone of Mr. Sinister and Cyclops/Scott Summers, effectively making him a half-brother to Scott? Also, in "The End" miniseries Scott and Emma Frost have several children as well as Gambit and Rogue. I guess all of those kids would technically be part of the summers family tree as well!
That's an alternate reality that doesn't necessarily cross into the main continuity as far as I know. But it's still fascinating! Maybe I can make some time to discuss these alt future kids and Gambit's alt reality connection to the Summers on our part 2. ;)
Ever since I was a kid Cyclops was my favorite hero in marvel, Jean 2nd. Was bonus they were destined for each other. I always collected comics that has to do with them or their bloodlines. Good job, thanks! 😬

What about the Mutant X Timeline? Alex possesed his variant's body, and raised that universe's Alex+Maddie son, Scottie.
I hope there is a part 2 In the Mutant X timeline, Havok has children, & in the Days of Future Past timeline, Rachel & Franklin Richards have a son. There are many more, that's just two.

You forgot Gambit. Sinister Grow him from Cyclops DNA and was gunna transfer himself into him but Apocalypse stole him and left him at the Thieves Guild in New Orleans.
With the resurrection protocols in the X-Men comics these days you would have thought that when Cyclops died and they brought him bk they would of got rid of the brain injury so he would not need the visor.
Oh you also forgot to mention that Cyclops also had kids with Emma Frost in an alternative reality (see X-Men:The End Comics)
That's an alternate universe Gambit Origin, but I guess it still counts. Then there's another alternate universe where Gambit is a clone of Sinister

Scott was originally named "Slim Summers" before they change it in issue #3 to "Scott Summers" and made "Slim" a nickname

I wanna see Cyclops, Havok, Vulcan, and Xtreme fight together. I also wonder if they're ever gonna do anything with how they hinted at Gambit being a Summers brother as well. We still don't know his heritage.

X Men the End series kind of explained it was a book series that was set in the Future . 1993 when Mr Sinister hinted to Scott he cared about his brothers . It was hinted Extreme & Gambit could be the brother or brothers . Some people where also saying Apocalypse could be a Summers the story goes Corsair was on a Desert planet and saved someone people think he some how was put back in time but no Proof that happen.
You didn't mention any of Scott's alternate reality kids with Emma.

I am really enjoying this resurgence of newfound appreciation for the character lately, largely thanks to 97.
Something I've wondered about with the Summers brothers is if the full potential of Scott and Alex could evolve, considering Gabriel is an omega-level mutant and all three of the others have similar themed powers (its all some type of energy manipulation, often cosmic adjacent) it makes me wonder if Scott and/or Alex could evolve to a similar level, or at least have a level that hasn't been discovered (ie: created) yet.
Alex's powers seem like they definitely could, and the big question with Scott is obviously whether or not his brain injury as a kid is "locking" the full functionality of his power and if it is, by how much. We did get hints in the Ultimate universe back when that was around, and when Scott had the Phoenix Force in him that this could be the case but nothing consistent in the mainstream universe yet. I do think it'd be neat for either of them, but especially Scott to have what their powers are capable of expand a bit after so many years, sort of like whats happened to characters like Storm or Iceman over the years. Like if I remember right, in the Ultimate universe when he was temporarily "buffed" he could channel the ruby energy into a sort of force field around himself.
Why were Corsair and wife kidnapped in first place?

Did Alex not have a son Madelyne Pryor in a alternative reality? Alex was married to Madelyne Pryor and was the father of their child, Scotty, named after his long missing older brother. Havok took the place of this dimension's Alex Summers as leader of the Six, though little Scotty recognized that he wasn't the same person anymore. This was on earth -616.

Honestly, I stopped trying to link the characters and just enjoy the comics as I read them. It’s all so convoluted when trying to link different writers ideas. Cool video though I really enjoyed it!
