- This video shows the working of slow sand filter and its efficiency of filtration and filtration rate.
This is a slow sand filter ppt which defines slow sand filter and its process. The slow sand filter is more efficient for the removal of bacteria and dirt. The video discuses about the coefficient of uniformity for slow sand filter and rate of filtration of slow sand filter and its flow rate. The slow sand filter come in the group of gravity filters as it works through the gravitational force and is also called as slow sand gravity filter. The advantage of slow sand filter over rapid sand filter is the efficiency of filtration and less cleaning of filter required. The video also shows the schematic diagram of slow sand filter with all its parts.
I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge on this topic. Don't let anyone insult you about your accent. You're doing a favor to humankind by spreading this information! Thank you
Well explained & well edited animation
Thankyou. I was really confused about head loss..now it's clear
Very Well Explained Sir🙏
Nice explanation sir
Very useful thank you sir
Very nice sir
is there method for SSF without Central drain method
Thank you 😊
Simple and easy thq
Thanks sir, but how to construct the lateral drains ?
It seems like the lateral drains need to be laid down in piping as you pour concrete for the sand filters foundation. I would recommend PVC piping going down at a 15-20 degree incline towards the large central drain.
Best
Perfect
Ok sir
Thankuu sir
❤
What about under drains
To the point ,compact hepful thank you
how much sand of top layer should be removed while cleaning the filter
2 to 3 cm
Please add under drain construction steps animation or tutorial
That has to do with structural engineering that the original poster may not fully understand. It seems that the lateral drains would need to be planned before you pour a concrete foundation for the sand filter. I suggest using PVC pipes at a 15-20 degree angle leading to the primary drain
Ah yes, slow sand
