Built by Mr. Nek Chand Saini, Chandigarh Rock Garden is a Sculpture Garden spread over 40 acres of steep rocky terrain. Using recycled Industrial and domestic wastes and discarded materials, he has turned the place into a beautiful garden of courtyards, open terraces, artistically carved out pathways, galleries, pavilions and placed aesthetically the thousands of sculptures he made from recycled wastes. The interlinked waterfalls, Aquariums, Swings, Open Air theater, laughing mirror and the Doll House museum are the main attractions which add to the charm of the Garden manifold. Mr. Nek Chand has shown the world that nothing is useless and with imagination, creativity, dedication, determination and hard work even the hardest rock terrain can be turned into an amazing garden.
