Im from San Diego,I left there in early adulthood, I went back last year and I tell you it was a nightmare. Ive never seen such poverty,drugs, and I was in a house that was torched, luckily my father hurried me out before I succumbed to smoke inhalation.I was there for 6 months and I never want to go back again. It is not anything like when I was there in early life. Really sad. Suspect the fire related to a roommate who was into some bad things. My father needed a roommate so he could pay the taxes on the home.His retirement would not be enough even with a reverse mortgage. The electric bill was 700 per month and he never used Air conditioner or heat.He had solar also. What the heck?
