- Going for Sub 5 minutes without Pipe Bounce and maybe WR. This run isn’t particularly great but I just started my grind and already 4th so…
How am I going to get Sub 5 without Pipe Bounce you may ask? Well on Mushroom Gorge, you can carry on riding the mountain after completing Lap 1 and skip the whole mushroom pad bounce and ride stuff.
I do it in my Mushroom Gorge Glitch PB and I’m quite consistent at it. Coconut Mall, I just need to be going for 2 for 2 Spindrifts and for the no-glitch driving, drive better. - Hry

Wouldn't it be faster to do ultra shortcut on grumble volcano then to do Yoshi falls?
Grumble Volcano is not unlocked when making a brand new license
I love the way this video is filmed straight from the TV. Makes it so much more authentic and believable that players really are this skilled and can pull off shortcuts like this

Unlock Funky Kong% is played competitively by very few runners as it is considered a meme speedrun
My first two tracks were quite fast in a typical run and I saved about 18 seconds over 4th Place’s Mushroom Gorge.
However, most of their time save came from having better times on the other tracks

@@JWR56 I was exactly the same way. When I was younger, I played a lot of MKWii with just a wii remote because I had no idea you can use a nunchuck, pro controller, and a GameCube Controller for this game. So I became pretty good at the game with just the wii remote.
You get better turning so technically it's the more "optimal" control scheme

But yeah, once you play something for a long time, you don’t really feel that much pressure because you have probably had even faster attempts, but ultimately failed at the end

It starts to get a lot easier overtime but because I’m trying to change the way Mushroom Gorge is played, it is starting to get considerably difficult
Having to play these glitches (and Wario’s Gold Mine) to perfection can be really time-consuming

I went from Wii to Wii U using a wheel and I miss using them 😭
I’m sad that my Old Wii back in 2019 broke and I miss the times using it. But I’m glad to still play my favourite game on the Wii U and still use the Wheel

The drift is so much tighter than Flame Runner, it’s so difficult to switch between the two

Thanks! Going for Sub 1 minute on rYF would take a lot of time and effort for very little timesave (maybe like 1-2 secs max)
But it will be quite a while for someone to go for rGV2 Glitch, but they are a good idea.
I might try and go for Pipe Bounces on WGM and remove the need to play rYF to save more timesave overall, rather than trying to optimise it

speed doesn't really matter if you're going to end tracks at light speed
I’m using Mario to make the Shroomless Cookie strategy on Mushroom Gorge easier, due to having better handling
Mario Kart Wii was so fun. I hope return to play it one day.

why not play grumble volcano? surely its way faster than any of these..
When creating a brand new license, the Star Cup where you can play Grumble Volcano is locked and so you would need to unlock the cup first before you can play it in Time Trials
