James Bond’s deadly battle with voodoo psychopath Mr. Big. From the jazz joints of Harlem to danger in Jamaica with 007’s unexpected ally, the beautiful psychic, Solitaire.
Martin Jarvis directs his eighth James Bond for radio. It's 007’s most exotic adventure - New York, Florida, Jamaica - with a stellar international cast, recorded on location in America. Dramatised by Archie Scottney and with Toby Stephens as Bond.
Bond tracks down monstrous Mr. Big in Harlem. Big is importing priceless gold coins to finance Russian spy operations and captures Bond. Beautiful, mysterious Solitaire is also a prisoner.
Bond escapes. Solitaire follows. They pursue the source of the gold, first to Florida where Solitaire is captured by Mr. Big's minions.
007 continues on to Jamaica. But can he survive the barracudas? Will he rescue Solitaire, recover the treasure and bring Mr. Big to justice? Well, there’s a fair chance. He is James Bond!

ENJOY!
I love Toby Stephens, he was the best ever James Bond baddy in the films, and he is the best James Bond we never had. Chiselled English good looks, perfect British accent, posh without being plummy. What more do you want
Better than Blofeld ? Better than Goldfinger ? Better than Jaws ? And and and .. there’s a long list ahead of him as the best bond villains ..
Ability to act ??
This really surprises me that there was no radio drama based on Casino Royale, the very first Bond book
Thank you for posting these.
Great escapism during these difficult times for all of us.
Absolutely!
Always interesting how straight to the point some of these original Bond stories were. The first few Connery films adapted them pretty close.
Dalton did too, bits of this story made their way into licence to kill.
4:53 "It'll frighten the living daylights out of you"
HA. HA... HAAAAAAAA.
Get that Opel going.
Thank you for these great bond plays they are brilliant also a great comfort to listen to.
Another good James Bond.
HUGE BOND FAN. These are audio gems. Thanks.
I enjoyed this radio adaptation more than the novel or the film.
Early, chill, dark nights...the time for ghost stories and fantasy! Perhaps two radio play ghost stories I’ve produced AND a brand new mystery listed on my channel “Claude Chabot Presents” right here on YT AND a radio fantasy comedy, “A Trip to the Moon” starring Joyce Randolph of The Honeymooners, which features Larry Robinson, who, as a child actor, actually worked with Orson Welles. Here’s the link: czcams.com/video/Hex2ltykNTM/video.html--Claud. If you don’t want to click the link just search “Claude Chabot presents” on CZcams.
One of my favourite books! And Toby Stephenson makes such a great Bond!
My absolute favorite of the Bond novels with Moonraker being my 2nd favorite. 😎
@@naughtydog1617 A question: is there an audiobook for every novel? Like Casino Royal or YOLT?
@@mr.comments7017 yes there is actually. I have them all in my "Audible" app library. I have Casino Royale all the way through The Man with the Golden Gun, and even Colonel Sun as well.😎
@@naughtydog1617 looks like I need to create an amazon account and listen to them!
@@mr.comments7017 make sure you download the versions that have a red, white, and black background. They are the best versions. And Toby Stephens himself narrates From Russia, with Love in these versions.😀
These are amazing! Thanks so much!
My pleasure😉
NaughtyDog161 👍👍👍👍🍸.
Loving these! Thanks
You're very welcome 😉
It’s weird to think of a bond baddy playing bond himself in these audio dramas! Great work nonetheless 👏👏👏
It's sort of neat in the fact that it may have roots in the process eon uses for casting supporting cast members. They often have supporting castmembers substitute for the leading man in screentesting prospective castmembers.
... will he?
... fair chance ...
he is James Bond!
really, too bad he only got a cheesy villain role in film series... He's really great as James Bond here!
Thanks for posting these. Much appreciated
Toby was a great villain but a better Bond. TOBY FOR BOND.
Excellent 😊
Thanks for uploaded these.
This is the latest James Bond radio drama BBC Radio 4 has done. Which of these 3 Bond novels are you all anticipating the most for them to do next? Casino Royale, You Only Live Twice, or The Man with the Golden Gun? I want them to do Casino Royale next! 😁
It was TMWTGG.

For Your Eyes Only is the next one, hopefully.
Casino Royale, but I would like to see a remake of You Only Live Twice because I love that particular entry.
Casino Royale, because we have You Only Live Twice. Maybe finish up with that or the short stories
Solitaire and Federal Agents gawdawful acting. Toby wonderful.

Thanks lots for posting, great stuff! 🍸
Brilliant! Thank you.
LOL I know the beginning parts in the African American club are supposed to be the threatening moments and other things. But for some reason I was totally cracking up and dying of laughter when all the African American people in the club were all going wild and laughing and being silly and going “Gee Gee” it just made me laugh. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
But in all things, it doesn’t sound all that different compared to today, because there’s always a lot of people when in night clubs and strip clubs doing crazing things and howling like wolves and being crazy. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love these James Bond dramas a lot. :)
😃
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Nah she's stripalate!!! i loved that bit
PNWS&P 21st Century They do that EVERY where, fella.
It’s hard to imagine James Bond walking around in Harlem and not stick out like a sour thumb.
What a treat thank you
Than you much needed
That woman who delivered the package seemed nervous
Takes me back a pkaygul bond
"Tootle pip" 😄

Hi ma, are you gonna upload the new The man with the golden gun radio play? Lot it when it's on YT.
Yes. I have just uploaded the new TMWTGG radio drama here on YT thanks to you letting me know about it. You were the same exact person last year that told me about live and let die when I didn't know it was released! I'm going to have to name you as my "trusty assistant" lol. Thanks once again for letting me know about the new bond radio dramas.😉
@@naughtydog1617 Oh you remembered me! lol. Thanks for you for the uploading, you have all the credit. How do you menage to extact the sound from the BBC website?
@@moneyofpropre2 I'm very honored. Thanks. I used a video download converter program called "Allavsoft" to extract the sound from the BBC site. Then I used a video trimming program called "TunesKit Video Cutter" to cut out the 3 minutes of commercials after TMWTGG ends.
@@naughtydog1617 Thanks for the infos, you did a great work.

This has to be a joke ???
Or have I suddenly arrived in a parallel universe.
Captain Flint....James Flint
Bond.
Basildon Bond ?
New Sub 💋💋❤🥰
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
J. Edgar Hoover hated Brits. Probably every other nation's intelligentsia, as well. Probably himself. Maybe hated being male. He would not have sent a warm message to Bond.
