Doyle strike earns 10-man Wolves draw at Brentford | FA Cup highlights | BBC Sport - Sport
How did the Brentford guy not get sent off massive credit to wolves for getting a replay with 10 men if they had 11 they would’ve won the game
no foul intent
@@simeonolson395 Intent is irrelevant. Gomes had no foul intent either.
Daamsgard's tackle was a lot worse than Gomes.
I'm not a wolves fan but if one is a red then both are red for me
Ok so im a referee, about to head out to Chelsea acadamy now. First one is serious foul play, and thus a red card. Second one wolves player makes a slide tackle and wins the ball. Both players then lung for the ball and the Brentford player is late. However, unlike the first challenge, the ankle does not buckle implying a lower force and therefore it should be classified as reckless (yc) rather than serious foul play/dangerous (rc).
The ball may also have been called out of play, in which case it would have to be classified as violent conduct, which is both a higher bar and does take intent into consideration.
Hope that helps defend my fellow referees (something we all get hate for because var is so bad atm and still gets defended at the top). :)
If first is a red card the second should’ve been
What a strike by Doyle!
Goal of the tournament.❤
The red circle is killing me 🤣
😅😅
I had to pause it , it must have got it for Christmas . No edges to catch on the pocket on the way out .
Football aint what it used too be....how i miss the crazy gang era...
its for those that are colour blind. A shape difference can still show what card it is without relying on colour
normal card = yellow, circle = red
That would be fair enough . I wonder what shape the orange one's going to be @@SakiDG
For me, no argument about the red for Joao Gomes, but the issue is shocking inconsistency. Why no red for the stamp on Doyle?
Justice was done in the end. Such a clean strike.
Fabulous goal by Doyle. I really rate this young man
These boys do us fans proud pretty much every week. But that was some performance by them. Wouldn't know we were down to ten men for 90mins. Well done lads.
That red circle was funny 🤣
Bro ordered his cards from temu or wish 😂
It is for colourblind people.
@@luxid413yes it is for referees who are colour blind
Never a straight red card.
Coach Gary O'Neill is building Wolverhampton into a strong team.
What a goal by doyle damn
Old memories of Ruben neves are back ❤❤❤
How was Damsgaard foul any different? Oh right he doesn’t play for wolves.
Who have we pissed off at PGMOL?
Doyle moved his foot under Damsgaard's boot. He moved the ball away too, had he not done that, Damsgaard would have got the ball instead.
Gomes tried to tackle the man who was behind him, lunging without really looking, it's reckless and he shouldn't have made the challenge.
It's easy to see why people can't see the sense in this decision and I totally agree that it's controversial, but when broken down, it's a fair decision.
I think Damsgaard should have received a yellow though.
Don't know what VAR has against the Wolves this season
Why a circle? That's completely illogical... and shouldn't that be a red for the Brentford player? Is that not fair? It's the same game and they can't be consistent
It isn't illogical and has been a thing in England for over 20 years. Helps the refs and colourblind fans.
So Doyle scores a a banger with his stamped on left foot 😂
even kevin doyle would be proud of that one, what a hit
Doyle doing all over again for blades and now wolves . Doyle army ❤
Bro got the red circle 🔴
What a strike
What a baller this Doyle kid is !
So wolves get a red but Brentford didnt 😂 poor wolves AGAIN..
Never a red card even a round one
What a superb match for wolves
Keenly contested match
VAR was only brought in to make the game fair. But it seems like it's going the other way. Smaller teams need that little bit of luck to win a game. Now it's down to absolutes and they still can't get it right.
Wolves are not smaller than Brentford, though they were the away team. I thought VAR would help small teams and away teams by overcoming refs' unconscious bias. But it is sometimes reluctant to intervene as here.
Wolves were the away team and played extremely well - they are not smaller than us by any margin though
I meant smaller teams in the league, not that specific match.
Come on wolves 🐺
How is the first highlight not a penalty. Clearly has hold of his jersey in the penalty area
Red circle 😵💫
that weren't a red card, it was a red spot!
Great heart from Wolves after wrongly going to 10, not surprised Brentford challenge was waved on despite being worse. Class from Doyle to level it
Sorry, but that wasn't "wrongly". Even Gomes knew it right away.
@@antohein. If its a red, so if theirs. Yellow for Gomes imo, straight red very harsh when you compare the challenges
@@harrywoodward3310 Never said it wasn't. 🤷🏻♀️ But that red card against Gomes isn't a matter of opinion, it's a matter of fact. You don't go in for a tackle like that. If you step on someone's ankle like that, with an open sole by the looks of it, it's a red. It's reckless and in doing so you accept an almost certain injury to the opponent. And Gomes knows it. You can see the admission of guilt and he goes over to check on him and apologise right away. The only ones who are mad are the fans. Let's hope things aren't too bad on Nørgaards end.
Beautiful goal by Doyle wolves will win the replay
why didn't you show the handbags at the very end?? certainly a highlight
Why did you blocked trailer for Messi in my country ?!
never a red
What a dire game
0:40 egg
Can't be arsed with red cards nowadays
We'll take em at home 💪
Brentford foul on Wolves looks like equal red too, like Rashford did at UCL. VAR doesn't has legit rules, it has double standard.
If they send wolves player off for that challenge why didn't the Brentford player get set off for the same challenge. VAR in inconsistent as is the refereeing.

Can someone explain why players are being sent of by pepperoni slices?
red card?????? what?????
I accidentally thought it was kelvin Doyle (wolve's striker in the past)😅
at least it wasnt mrs. doyle
FA Cup highlights on CZcams for North America without the geofencing???? 😮
👍
How the fuck that wasnt a red card on Damsgraad if Gomes got one in pretty much similar situation....baffling refereeing, once again!
Man city should had bought Doyle back before even signing K. Phillips
what is that red circle wtf
Not going to show semedo getting a yellow for being choked and thrown to the floor by his neck in these highlights?
Ah I see some referees will have red circles or yellow circles because some of them are colour blind
FFS how can those 2 challenges be a red card and the other nothing.
Not as good as your goal against Blackburn Tommy but a decent one all the same
Worst referee in the prem by a mile not even non league standard the stamp on Tommy was a straight red
a round red card...circle? what's the story behind that?
Colour blindness , they use different shapes in hockey.
Used to use them years ago its not a new thing
Brentford clowns defending like kids
I love that there are now 2 all premier league FA cup replays , it's just punishment for all the bitching and whining managers have been doing about supposed excessive workloads for players.
But that is a genuine problem teams are having injury crisis after crisis because of it
Just to remind everyone Doyle’s buy out is only 4.3 million for wolves at the end of the loan 4.3 ….. 😂😂😂
Fans tampons fall out = red, Otherwise, nout. State of English Reffing
It's alright, it's only the FA Cup. Nobody cares.
Probably the most boring, half-arsed commentator ever
For those asking. Gomes got a red because he lunged into the challenge, Nørgaard was behind him and there was not a very high chance of Gomes winning the ball from that challenge. When it's slowed down, it doesn't look as bad but in real time, it looks like he is going for the man not the ball.
Damsgaard did not get a red because he looked in control, he only made contact because Doyle had kicked the ball out of Damsgaard's reach and Doyle put his ankle under Damsgaard's descending foot. The ball was also out of play. The tackle was a sensible one to make and at most would have garnered a yellow.
Norgaard stamped on his ankle. Gomes kicked it. Norgaards was irrefutably worse. The fact the ball was out of play makes it even worse, because the 'challenge' didn't even need to be made.
By that logic Gomes was lunging for the ball rather than a tackle. Damsgaard however was going for the tackle.
Mr "Holt Ender" get the player named right and I'll take your point
What an absolute load of old waffle, but thanks for the in-depth analysis.
@@janb5453 No problem at all.
He had no need at all to make such foul at so early at 9th minutes, when you know it's a easy match to win, bullshit player, should be kept on bench for a year
Rubbish Brentford
never a red
