Adding laurels to his glorious career he has has been felicitated and honored by The Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao in 1993. The chief minister,chief of air staff and also has been awarded The Vayu Sena Medal.

Joined Air Force in 1963 and an air commodore of 1965 and 1971 wars with Pakistan operated MiG 21.
Confuting the myth of MIG- 21 as a flying coffin,he has the highest ops mission on MiG21 in the world with 6316 flies and 4000 hours out of 8000 total flight hours.
He has long, illustrious and decorated career spanning over 33 years as an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot. During this period he has been appointed as Air force examiner, Principal Director Dte of spac, Dte of Ops and has commanded Flight Squadron 32 and 35. Has been deputed in Russia ,Iraq and USA.

He’s truly a legend of the Indian Air Force.

The aircraft which we called as a flying coffin . Which can crash at any time during flight you have highest flying hours on that aircraft ! Salute you sir 👮♂️
