The interior looks like something straight of disney’s beauty and the beast movie. Truly, one of the few mansions I’ve thought to be worth their price.

Royalty needed to outwardly express wealth in order to establish the power of the state. That style of furniture with intricate carpentry and gilt is enormously expensive part of why it’s not as common as modern decor which doesn’t require so many man hours thus making it comparatively affordable. The feeling of sitting at a desk that required hundreds of hours of masterful work to carve out intricate details means more to me than something minimal. It’s all personal preference but this house has been in style for a thousand years and will never go out of style unlike modern architecture for example modern stuff from ten years ago is already out. If you want an example of gaudy Versailles before they were melted down and sold had a room full of solid silver furniture. Other houses that copy Louis style with cheap furniture from China are obvious though and look awful. Places like trumps hotels use cheap furniture made in China. Instead of the artisan process of gilding trumps hotels just use gold paint. This kind of stuff ruins Louis style and looks visibly cheap and gaudy.
I think I found my dreams or at least would love to have one built like it. It’s like a smaller version of the Lumiere home, but just as elegant and fancy. It has all the classical elements with a slight hint of modern. Those arch window are to swoon for. You definitely saw the back yard right? That column arch area can be probably can be used for picture back grounds...but every place of this mansion is a place for pictures. A small wedding or concert can be held. All the columns are just so beautiful! And I will literally faint in that ballroom/salon/ whatever it can be room with those windows because they are amazing. The ceiling and chandeliers...the railings...what a dream.
Now that house is perfection, except for the tile work in the one bathroom, but everything else is amazing. Excellent taste for both interior and exterior design and placement.
As with any home, I'm not going to say that I love everything however there are a lot of qualities here that are very tasteful. In particular, I found the mosaics to be stunning.

Its very old age and victorian but the colors, design and spacing are so contemporary and sleek! Whole ancient theme meets modern touch!
