    Mitosis is the process by which the chromosomes in the nucleus of a cell are divided into into two new nuclei. This animation illustrates how the stages of mitosis progress and eventually lead to the formation of two new cells.

    This video has saved my life. My science teacher has pushed me to the edge, I couldn't do it anymore, all these steps and splitting and duplicating just gave me a sense of loneliness that I've never felt before.       Arijit Chakraborty It's not, teachers tend to ramble when trying to make a point which results in making the matter confusing, also I don't think you can watch back when you don't get something and go straight to the point you didn't understand. Sad to say but videos are better at least in this subject.

    This was really useful to me when I explained mitosis to my students yesterday. I found the animation and narration to be quite comprehensive, pausing every so often to explain terms and the like. Thank you very much for this, I have no doubt my students are smarter because of it.

    I believe that mere classroom explanations can't be well enough than this one cause practicals and animations help us get a better understanding !
    However the schools must use such animations for their students . It'll be of a huge help to the students.
    This video is so amazing and so much eash to understand.

    WOW!! When I see something like this I cannot help but compare it to the universe, nebulas, formation of stars, gravity, etc etc. Maybe we need to look into the smallest things to understand the bigger ones?

    Great video, but my professor told me that the only thing divided equally is the DNA content in the chromosomes. They may not divide the organelles equally, but after the split the cells can grow those organelles and create more mitochondria and chloroplasts.

    My teacher did some dance where he wiggled his fingers and pretended like he was a cell. I think this video explains mitosis somewhat better.

    this is a well thaught about and delivered nicley. The narrator was clear, concise and easy to understand. As an A-level human bio student, that has dyslexia, a clear film such as this one makes comprehending a very difficult subject all that bit easyer, to put into perspective.
