KEYZER SOZE I like those sound clashes. Top Jamaican artists aren't afraid to clash with one another. That can never happen with the artists here in the US.
Ness Rosenbrad The 'Grime' genre in the U.K.has retained a lot of this sound clash culture The same people who emigrated to the US also made the UK their home. I personally feel artist like Skepta are more lyrical than the US, but that's just my opinion.
The amount of confused comments here. So people will go off for Drake serving us watered down reggae but when a real artist comes in people are scratching their heads? Okay.
They don't deserve Busy Signal. He's one of the best to ever do it and not be a bleaching sell out like other ~other artists. He doesn't call for violence all the time either. I'm just glad to see him active outside of JA now. It's been too long
dancehall didnt go nowhere its just that american radio turned mainstream and the music now washed up, so they hardly play real music and artists. A quick search for dancehall online, aidonia, busy signal, popcaan, vybez kartel, masicka, dexta daps just to name a few will reveal dancehall reggae is still here
caribbean people come to remind American that we're 🌎all from Africa...this generation need to get to a oneness opening their eyes🙈..."no matter where you come from,as long as your a blackman, your an african".!.📡
Big up Busy, Dancehall, toasting, mc-ing call what you may the foundation starts in the ghettos of Jamaica from King Stit to U Roy and many more late 60s to early 70s the first to rhyme over an instrumental track or the version to the A side of a record were jamaican DJ's this is fact U Roy's wear you too the dance is the first way before our Hip Hop brothers started making bangers reggae is the father hip-hop is the son and what unstoppable son he has become peace.
Reggae comes from African heritage. Africans been chanting to drum instrumentation since forever. Hip Hop evolved through Africanism culture, jazz, Calypso, reggae which is all AFRICAN.
@@joelglaud Totally agree 100% anyone from African decent will and should know from where all these forms arise my point was more to do with the first recordings of the popular chanting, dj'ing, mc'ing way up to rapping today as we know it. It's all love bro great input to the debate 👍👍👍👍
These Jamaicans are perfect on flowing to any beat.
Ness Rosenbrad "these jamaicans"?... what does that even stand for
Donald Beck People from Jamaica?
It was sound-clash culture in Jamaica that give birth to Hip Hop

You hip hop fans need to get on this dancehall/reggae revival. Without Jamaican music (Ska, Rocksteady, Rub A Dub, Dancehall) there is no hip hop.
