Broken Blade also played the First 2 matches really well. So much consistency ! Bjerg supported him well too.

Damn Smoothie's Braum in game 5 was gigasmurfing on them. Shut down all the Ornn and Alistar engages. Makes you wonder why C9 picked Ornn into Braum though there were lots of other picks that could have done what Ornn was suppose to do but without a useless ult.
QuackTim tsm drafted quite well in game 5, vladimir just killed everyone while kindred and zilean helped tsm survive the initial c9 engage
braum is really a must ban in this meta hes sooo damn strong in the hands of a good player.

I can't even begin to describe how great it was seeing how happy C9 was the first 2 games, and then having their reality just crushed in front of them and then you don't see them smile AT ALL past game 2. So great :D

Licorice was more consistent than any other top laner, but I would argue about BB being above Impact, which I think could have gone either way.

I don't think I've ever seen a TSM roster play this well as a team before. I find myself watching the team as a whole rather than focusing on Bjergsen the entire game like in previous seasons. Their map movement and synergy as a team just keeps getting better every single game and it's such a cool thing to watch.
The last teamfight in game 3 really showed the potential that TSM has this year. Smoothie had a sick initiation and baited out the Tahm devour on Sneaky early on but this left GP vulnerable. GP got stunned by smoothie, ulted and split from his team by Akaadians Gragas ult, and melted by BB and Sven. Then Sven basically 1 v 2's Sneaky and Svenskeran while Bjerg melts Tahm Kench in front of Nisqy. Then TSM cornered the remaining 3 members and rolled over them. Such an epic fight.
The DL Biofrost era was really good, but were totally different play styles.
Love this new team, actually look like they want to play and not just scale every game.

I know right, this tsm roster this year focus more on team plays..
TSM never had a true shotcaller up until now. Bjerg has never really trusted himself enough (in his own words) to be the main shotcaller, and realistically mid should never be main shotcaller anyway, they have too many things to worry about to begin with. Doublelift came into the team and took the shotcalling reins, and even though he was solid and decisive it comes down to the same issue with mid shotcalling; there's simply too much micro and tiny things to worry about as an adc to really have the presence of mind and game state awareness to call shots consistently and it showed on the World stage. Now they finally have smoothie as the main shotcaller, and statistically speaking the teams that have won worlds the most have been traditionally teams that have their support as the main shot caller, which is perfect for us TSM fans, esp considering how vocal of a player Smoothie is while also being mechanically fantastic (yellowstar lul). I genuinely feel that smoothie is the biggest difference.
Glad to be on the winner side this time, so nice to see the haters with their keyboard shut :)

I honestly kind of saw this coming. Everyone knows that last year TSM weren't doing so well and that's why C9 got through, but this year TSM is stepping up again. I wonder how it'll go against TL...
Tsm games look like they first time met each other. Whole series looked like Team vs Ladder. I'm really surprised they managed to pull it out
what are you talking about, you obviously didn't watch to the whole games. Game 5 especially if anything it's the opposite of what you're saying, zeyzal went in twice while his team was not in position to follow up, a common miscommunication error in soloq. On the other hand Smoothie and BB played their roles exactly how they needed to for the team, even sacrificing themselves when needed. Game 3 and 4 same thing but less so while game 1 and 2 was Akaadian being a monkey but the rest of the team was still cohesive

Nah not really. Sneaky was not even on the screen because he was low on health. If he knocks up 3 members, then what? Akaadian can negate any dmg Zoe does with his ult and Zoe going in will probably get herself oneshot by Vladimir with his ult still up. Check the video again, best case scenario is Zeyzal knocking the Zoe cc'ed Braum into his team to get a pick. But honestly, the question remains? At best, maybe you get a pick if Akaadian doesn't go activate his ult to save him.
Zeyzal decision was good, knock Akaadian into his team which is a more valuable target than Braum. UNFORTUNATELY Akaadian died before he could knock him back, leaving Zeyzal vulnerable.
If alistar got a 3 man knock up there wouldn’t be any follow up so keep your silver opinion to yourself :).

Luckily aakadian played well in game 4 and 5. Still think he is a liability. The rest of the team played really good (especially of course in the last 3 games)
I highly disagree with that statement. Akaadian was on the wrong champs in the first two games.
Liability may sound too harsh, but its kinda true. He is relatively new and its his first playoffs. He is doing phenomenally better that I would expect. By 2020 if he is still on the team he should be an absolute monster.

Im not one to say about Reapered coaching or what he thinks about during the pick and ban phase
but anyone could have seen that Zven and Ezreal go together like Bread and Butter as seen in Game 3/4
also the Kennen ban seemed abit random, or is there some meta shift with Kennen/Vladmir comps?
Kennen has been used a bit in LEC and LCK, maybe they were anticipating BB picking it. Personally, I thought it was a pointless ban - I don't remember BB even playing it this year.

This is something that more and more teams are picking up on, it's more about understanding the meta and studying the opponents, something that a head coach can't spend 12 hours of everyday doing due to all the other responsibilities of coaching a team. It's better to have someone devoted to studying vods and the meta in general to be on stage picking/banning, at least imo.

One thing that caught my eye that I realised, this morning SKT’s Kkoma got moved to head coach.
I always thought he was head coach but I realised that they have a whole team (head coach, assistant coach, player coach, stage coach, etc) rather than just a head coach and assistant head coach that they implement in NA (and EU?)
