    Finally a Sci-Fi serie with a BIOLOGIC point of view, not silly monsters for spectator complacency but "real" beings, some really dangerous.

      @@Grimpoteuthis-sabio All of the (thing)punk genres are about technology based on that "thing" i.e: Biopunk (technology based on organic matter/living organisms), steampunk (technology based on steam), cyberpunk (technology based on cyber hardware), etc.
      What's shown here, and what the OP mentioned, are completely different things. This is about whole alien ecosystems, where they show and (sort of) explain how an alien world and all of its living beings function.

  • @gjkmoda5093
    @gjkmoda5093 Před 10 dny +4

    At first I thought this world must be absolutely filled with oxygen, which could mean some of the animals somehow produce oxygen and not only the plants.
    But it seems the world itself knows how to use every living being on it for self maintenance/preservation, which is terrifyingly amazing. Its like the world itself is alive and sort of sentient to a certain extent.
    I also love how, just like in our world, there's some deviants on this world. Beings that, for some reason, behave completely different from what would otherwise be their natural behaviour (the grey, telepathic alien), and how they show a small but significant contrast with the tiny alien that was "born" from that plant with the sort of cavity/button. It didn't know where it was, or why it was there, but its body clearly knew it had a single purpose, so it followed through, fulfilled said purpose, and ultimately died on the very spot it was "born" in, only to be taken care of by that very same plant and seemingly restart the whole process.
    This, despite not having any dialogue whatsoever (at least on this video), is definitely one of the best stories I've ever seen. It's like a silent narrative that tells you everything you need to know, without saying a single word. Truly an amazing work of art, whoever thought about this, and all of the people who worked to make it possible, deserve the recognition of the whole world, in my opinion.

      This animation work is similar to the works of Studio Ghibli except for the style of drawing the contours of animated objects and possibly their animation. And if you take a typical drawing of Studio Ghibli backgrounds, then there is something more like a high-quality painting with watercolors or special paints. Whereas in Scavengers reign, the background images also have a lot of contours and simple strokes and lines. In Moebius, the emphasis is on contours in everything. There are few or almost no smooth color transitions. In terms of the genre of the story, and the unusualness of fictional worlds Scavengers reign is more similar to the full-length animated works of René Laloux.

    Now that's how I like to imagine sci-fi biology. It sometimes looks strange, disturbing or disgusting from our point of view, but that's completely normal! Nature or biology is not obliged to look nice, its only goal of an organism is to be the most successful in the ecosystem. A completely alien organism in a completely alien ecosystem most likely won't follow the same rules and strategies as ours, evolution is beautiful, with it having almost infinite ways of changing and developing, adapting to the world, to itself and to us, humans.
    I've seen enough sci-fi projects about alien biology, filled with nothing, but dull creatures with the only additions being perfect killing machines. Nature is not always about killing and surviving, remember the countless symbiotic and social creatures on Earth, having not constant bloodshed, but harmony and peace, as most organisms are just trying to mind their own business and survive, without conflicting with others, this is what makes the nature and ecosystem beautiful and fascinating to watch, and, sadly, most people forget about that when making a sci-fi project about an alien ecosystem.

    My theory on the grey alien is that their telekinetic ability is powered by emotions, or the chemicals that causes emotions. Meaning the stronger the emotional bond between it and it’s host, the stronger it’s telekinetic power becomes. That’s why it always chooses to hypnotize a host and let it hunt for food instead of just hunting on its own using telekinesis

    • @irkloy
      @irkloy Před 12 dny +4

      Предназначение любых живых организмов - распространение своего гена при помощи размножения. Также и у людей. Это давно доказано учëными и проходится в пятом классе. Не надо строить из себя философа)

    • @EmpireOfTheUnity
      @EmpireOfTheUnity Před 11 dny +1

      Предназначение любого живого - выжить и создать больше себе подобных, не важно каким образом, главное наиболее эффективно. Живые организмы существуют только благодаря тому, что постоянно размножаются и создают копии себя, если бы они этого не делали, они бы не существовали. Это относится и к нам, какими бы умными мы не были, как бы мы не отрицали свою животную природу, наша первичная задача - размножение, мы лишь нашли крайне сложное и уникальное решение этой задачи и пока мы будем продолжать делать копии себя каким-либо образом, это предназначение не изменится. Лишь только тогда когда люди откажутся от этой цели либо лишат себя возможности её исполнять, она исчезнет, а вместе с ней и люди прекратят своё существование. Поэтому предназначение любого - существовать как можно дольше, в как можно большем количестве, если что-то перестаёт исполнять данное предназначение, оно перестаёт существовать.
      Такое поведение можно увидеть не только у живого, но у всего, даже у простых химических элементов, они существуют лишь благодаря тому, что исполняют данное предназначение: существуют как можно дольше в как можно большем количестве, иначе они исчезают. Некоторые радиоактивные химические элементы вскоре распадаются после появления, но благодаря человеку, они появляются заново, так как человек их делает при надобности, значит человек - это и есть способ размножения данных химических элементов, как бы глупо это ни звучало, благодаря человеку они существуют и исполняют предназначение, если бы они не исполняли данное предназначение, они бы не существовали.
