I am disabled and am only able to do little bits at a time. For years depression had control of that little bit. I am now doing small things and it has helped so much
Arminda i understand. I had to go on disability at 46. The depression is so overwhelming. Continue working a bit at a time. Much love and prayers.

I'm on disability and I struggle with daily things too even more so now that I also have dystonia. And over the last couple of years my dystonia has gotten a lot worse. And to get around I only have a power chair so I can only carry a few things back back to the apartment at a time when I go shopping. Once in a while I do have a friend that will take me shopping so I can get a little bit more at a time. However most of the time it's just me and my power chair.
I am disabled also I am unsteady and have knee issues. Walking is hard.
I just love the beautiful flowers you got😍. And your Pantry just amazes me all the pretty sparkling jars of food and how beautiful you keep it. I hang my heavy large pans on hooks in my pantry. It keeps them organized and easy to find. Just put a hook or large nail into a stud and you have an instant pot or pan holder💞

I remember sitting in the kitchen on one of those step stool chairs as a child. I would just sit and watch my Mom cook away. Great memories!

A vintage step stool is something I would love to find, I always keep a lookout for them. The heat really does sap your strength, so little by little with plenty of rest between is sensible. Good to see you taking it slower. That will win the race for you. I had 2 of those stools at one time. So handy & convienent to use. I just love your videos on canning, prepping & reorganizing. At 70, & a former army wife, I have done a lot of reorganizing! I have never canned but I have started to dehydrate. My father's sister raised me after my mother died 3 weeks after my birth. My aunt had come through the depression & used to say that we had to be kind of saving with things so we would always have something. That has stuck with me & I save all kinds of things to reuse. And I get nursing scrubs at the thrift store to wear around the house(& to sleep in). They last longer & are more comfortable for my arthritic condition. Thanks again for your videos & here's to a less hectic time going forward.🥰
Love the rocking chair. My grandmother has a couple on her porch. I offered to fix them so they did not squeak. She told me I better not. The squeaking helped her doze off to sleep. 😴

Omgoodness!!!! I had a chair like that when I was a toddler! I loved that step stool chair and haven't seen any like that now. You're such an inspiration! I often get discouraged because I have many health issues that prevent me from lasting long. I get a little bit done all through the day. It sounds silly but I have never thought of sitting down and working. Good idea! Oh and I'm glad your health improved so much since this video!

My mama and granny both had that stool when I was growing up. It gave a place to sit in the kitchen but was good to get to those upper shelves in the cabinets. Eventually they bit the dust, but mama found two like her old one, except the new ones had padded seats and the old were just metal, and they became her barstools at the kitchen bar.

Tess this year we made a what we call a extended pantry. So now we have the kitchen pantry and the extended pantry. It has really helped me keep the food rotated. It was a lot of work but so well worth it!!!

Tessie if you don't want things to be so tight you can stop the vaccum by hitting the seal button . Some times when you want to seal soft things you don't want to vaccum too tight.

I'm glad you are pacing yourself to give yourself time to recuperate. It was very sweet of Teresa to send you those lovely flowers. It is really awesome to have such a well-stocked pantry. You did a nice job organizing everything. I love it! The sealer seems like a really strong and space saving tool. Thanks for introducing us to it. Tessie, you are very wise to take things slowly and give time for your body to heal. My mom used to can a lot every year. Her pantry looked liked yours. Garden veggies taste so much better. My little garden didn't do well this year because of the heat and very little rain. I hope that you have a good Wednesday. God Bless!

Tessie, next year try growing the purple pod green beans. You can get them from Renee’s. When we lived in the country, the deer ate our beans also. Then we learned that they leave the purple pod green beans alone! Never have had a problem since! They are very prolific, stringless, meaty, tasty, turn green when you cook them. And come as a bush or vine. We got bush beans from her this year. Did very well.

The pantry is looking awesome!!! Today I just harvested pears from a pear tree in our front yard. It has me thinking I need a water bath canning system. There were a LOT of pears on that tree. Maybe they would last stored down the cellar, but I doubt it. Glad to see you pacing yourself. My husband and I have been doing that for about a year. It is great to be able to enjoy a task and call it quits when you start to feel tired. As long as there is some progress every day, it is still quite rewarding. Enjoyed your video Tessie! And I agree with another commenter that it was thoughtful of Teresa to send those dried flowers! No worries about them being watered or wilting. Just some beauty to brighten up your table.

I like to do one or 2 projects a day too. It keeps me motivated and moving forward in these uncertain times. Today I am dehydrating fresh basil and chives I planted, and yesterday I dehydrated sweet bell peppers. I've also started harvesting seeds. The important thing about seed harvesting is drying them out thoroughly, in a warm spot, out of direct sunlight for up to 6 weeks. But seeds are expensive. So I've harvested honey dew Mellon seeds, sweet bell pepper seeds and I plan on doing alot more. The main thing I'm learning is not to be intimidated by food growing and preservation. Just jump in and start. Put the seeds in soil and watch them grow. Praise to our Heavenly Father, for creating seeds to grow our food. God Bless everyone. 🌹✝️
Hello Tessie! I've heard that if you scatter human hair much like you would spread mulch around your garden beds the deer will stay away because they do not like the smell! Also the strong scent of ordinary bath soap like Irish Spring grated up and scattered in the garden also keeps the deer away. Just thought I'd pass this information on to you! Nice gift, Theresa.💗🤗 The pantry is my favorite room. 😄 I flatten everything I put in my vacuum bags. Then I can stack them up and it takes up less space.👍 Tomorrow, I'll be vacuum sealing chocolate chips (in Mason jars) and bread flour. I put the flour in the bag then poke a hole in the top of the bag. It comes out rock hard. I'm praying that you feel better and stronger, very soon. 🙏 God bless. 💗🌷
