Late comment but the end result of this shocked me! I was sitting like I do with my own paint jobs, all the way through thinking "That's an .....interesting choice" and "oh god....." Then came that last reveal! That is one sexy tarrasquadon! Very very nice!

Soaking prints in warm water (microwave for 45 to 60 seconds) will soften the supports so that they just peel off. Great video!
Great video buddy, the 24mins flew by! Awesome beastie aside; I think your editing and narration are both great. I particularly liked how you kept in the ‘mistakes’ and walked us through them. I feel it adds a sense of honesty, which I personally enjoyed.

Well she is definitely not something I'd like to see when walking along a river bank late at night when the moon shadow is out but as usual Dave you brought out the models creative side and shows you are a talented artist.

Great work on the skink mount. I nearly went for the same one, but instead repurposed some of my Sleich dinosaurs. The allosaurus became a hero mount and the Trike became a heavy weapon system for the skinks. I finished the hero mount, but gave up on the project.

They literally have dinosaurs made out of stardust now. Why they haven’t made any new updated Dinos is anyone’s guess.

This is awesome. I got my Seraphon Start Collecting box a couple weeks before I got my 3D printer and I've been having a blast adding 3D printed units to it too, also highly recommend One Page Rules' models, who make my fav Kroxigors!

The OPR Lizardmen are pretty awesome, and there's going to be more models coming out next year. There's also a titan dino that comes with a large platform for lizardmen to hang out on.

When I watched this video I did think to myself that this channel is better than a lot of the channels that you tube recommends me when it comes to this kind of stuff. When I saw the thumbnail I was instantly wondering where you got the tarrasque mini with a howdah lol. It turned out great! Love watching this and hearing about more fancy paint techniques that I want to build to.

It’s too perfect not to do it!
Here's a tip-- you can use the resin used to print the model as both an adhesive and a gap filler. Just hit the resin with a uv light, and if done right, there shouldn't be any problems.
Really cool Beast. Much more fearfull as the gw Pendant. We have the Celestial Stampede. But my son love more of these. Your channel helps me to understand kitbashing and proxy this beasts.
Our first kitbash is the troglodon. Next i want to proxy the dread saurian.

Generally the photon. Found it less painful to level with.

Dave, great work mate, turned out amazing. How did you do the texture on the "ropes" that holds the platform to the dino? Looks so realistic. Found your channel after the colab with Luke btw
They just seemed to do it as I was painting them. Did them again on the newer dinos but sealed them with pva to stop it fraying

Is the gold paint a metal flake? If so that would explain why it would damage a paintbrush.
Alcohol based i think, and the alco evaporates, which leaves the rest of it crusty - at least i suspect thats what it is.

Ok so how long did the prints take for everything for the model?
Probably about 20 hours on a Mars. But at least i didn't have to sit and watch it.
How are u able to Cut and Snip the Prints, mine are so brittle 😅
I usually do it before I cure them! That helps!
@@MSPaints Yes still :D even if i try to work with them right after they get out of the printer, it is so brittle and straight up brakes.

Hey man I'm looking to do the exact same thing. How did you get the howdah to fit?
Also how did you get the tarasque to stand on the base? I cant get it to do it well
I remember I cut his spines off to get it to sit. Otherwise I think I just kinda let it float, put some supports on afterwards and the cotton really helps hold it in place.

Do you still happen to have these files? Obviously I wouldn't want you to give away ones that are still currently for sale but the ones on thingiverse seem to have disappeared.
They're somewhere... i didn't inventory stuff properly back then so i honestly got no idea where they are mate :(
@@MSPaints Ok, no problem! A lot of those 3d prints are very hard to find because they get taken down. Maybe a channel in discord or something in the future for them? Either way, I wouldn't delete any and I have a file on some external storage for all my prints.
Fuckin eh! Ive learned alot from this video. I love painting and i want to play more games but ive no one to play with and im not sure if ive got the confidence to play at a store considering im am absolute noob. I dont understand the rules, the command pts, useless
