Sir, you told your last remaining moral compass-slash-brain cell holder to eff off, like. Seven songs ago. Your conscience is in a little box at the back of a closet screaming “Let me out, you’re making bad choices!” You are taking away absolutely the wrong message from what everyone has been telling you. The lesson here is “pull your head out of your butt and listen to other people more and actually apologize when you’ve hurt someone”, not “become a sociopath”. Also, choose your god-spiting moments more carefully. Maybe spare the innocent baby who MIGHT grow up to be a problem, and not the cyclops who wants to EAT you.
@PancakeFlowers I love how in this musical, whether intentional or not, Odysseus’s “fatal flaw” is much more complex than “hubris/pride”. It’s extremely specific, really: he can’t bear to have anyone else question his decisions. He second-guesses himself ALL THE TIME, but the minute someone ELSE does it, he shuts them down or pushes them away. As a result, he’s incapable of admitting to anyone but himself that he might be wrong, and he’s equally incapable of apologizing to anyone for his actions. He would rather be a martyr to his own choices than deal with his guilt in a healthy way, and he would rather alienate everyone around him - friends, allies, and enemies alike - than let them question his decisions.

But it is the beginning. Gonna keep an open mind. The monster can come out ANY time.
LMM been quiet since that dropped 😗
Here it is ! Someone sane !
If I’m the sane one, we’re all in trouble.
Yeah Odysseus. Your problem isn’t not being ruthless enough, it’s your dumb life decisions which in the original myth is fueled by hubris
