Enjoyed your well made video Terry. You will save a lot of owners valuable bucks with this one. Thanks for taking the time to share your valuable knowledge.
Thanks Andrew, I appreciate your feedback as always. It’s a very simple procedure as you noted and most can do it at home with a few tools. A good starter project that’s for sure. Thanks again mate ❤️👍
Excellent and quick synopsis on coolants. I will have to look out for the “super long life Toyota coolant”. I am going to do a coolant flush on my series 80 very soon. Thank you for posting.
Just came across this 'How-to-Video'. Yet another piece of good info. You must have spent some time in Aus now as you pronounce ALUMINUM the way we do (the correct way lol). Yes we all feel the cold more as we get older, this is why we are in the process of building in Qld too and saying goodbye to Adelaide. Looking forward to your next video, Stay Safe ;)
Yes mate, 25 years in Oz now, almost the majority of my life and loving it! Good stuff on your move to Qld mate, it really is a great place to live although the depths of summer can be killer😬. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I sincerely appreciate it 😎👍
They’re $40 a bottle now Terry. Theoretically I could just buy the 10L then instead of the full 17. My 200 is 10 now with 123k so I was considering changing it. The manual says replace at 160K but the way I use the car it will take 5 years to get there LOL
Well if there is one thing I am certain of, you cannot over service your vehicle. Do what you feel is best for you mate, but at a bare minimum change when Tojo says to change. Cheers👍😎
Nice one Terry, Did this job a couple of years ago when i changed my water pump at about 180k did the thermostat same time. Its a job that looked harder than it actually was, not quite the three bolts on an old holden lol. Cheers Eric and Janet.
Thanks mate. I’m sure you can, it’s a different motor with different configuration but cooling systems are very similar across platforms. Just do you research before hand and you will be fine. Cheers👍😎
Great video, My coolant mixed with coolant and normal water and I need to replace it with coolant only as the manual says what is the best way to do it btw I have LC200 2013 v6 non diesel Thank you
Definitely best to follow what your manufacturers manual says. Just note that Toyota dealers sell concentrate that requires dilution with water before adding to your cooling system, AND they also sell premix that has already been diluted which is designed to be added directly to your cooling system. Cheers👍😎
Thanks for your comment and following along Hans. I will take that one board mate. I have a few Ideas racked and stacked and will add that one to the list. Cheers😎👍
Hi, appriciate your DIY shares and it help gaining first hand knowledge. I have a question about that engine drain valve, is it also on the petrol version LC200 too, which have 1UR FE engine?
@@JafffaAdventures Appriciate your propmpt reply on old video, you really care for your audience. Yes the block have the drain plug, but they are located awkward and made of brass, hence I feel uncomfortable to tingle with them because of these 2 reasons. Have a nice day.
Is it possible you still have air in the system? Filling until it comes out that overflow I pointed out, and elevating the front end of the vehicle are both useful. Good luck mate 👍😎
Sorry mate, I’ve never had the problem nor have I ever heard of it. Air lock would be my only thought. Perhaps run it a bit (keeping a close eye on the temperature) then allow to fully cook down then top up?
The coolant capacity on the 1HZ depends on a few variables. Auto/manual without rear heater 10.9/11.1 litres, Auto/manual with rear heater 11.7/11.9 litres. This information is in your repair manual and if you don’t have one I would highly recommend getting your hands on one if you do mechanical work on your vehicle. Cheers😎👍
Too funny Shane, you are a very perceptive individual 😉. No Covid, but I was certainly not firing on all 8 cylinders. Thanks for watching and commenting mate, I appreciate it👍❤️

Ok nice teacher 🤗🤗
Thank you mate, I try and break it down as simple as possible so even I can understand it😂👍
Can I do this for v6 dual tank gas/LPG...? Toyota prado 03. Awesome vdo by the way❤

Sorry mate, I do not know what the Hilux has for a setup. Cheers👍😎
Any chance of you doing a video on changing the brake fluid. Cheers Hans

Another good one Terry, I saw you lift the bonnet and thought “ Terry should build one like that for me” lol. Cheers Steve
Too funny Steve. You are nothing if not persistent mate! Keep up the good work on your channel also 👍😎
Nice work
Cheers Craig, I appreciate it😎👍
Great video! Doing my waterpump soon. Is there water to mix with the coolant?
Thanks Francis, I appreciate the kind words. I use demineralised water that you can buy at auto parts stores. Cheers😎👍

Thanks for the kind words mate. I’m not sure on the petrol version but it would definitely have an engine block drain valve somewhere on it. Cheers👍😎

I hear you mate, brass likes to give you a hard time when it can. Cheers👍😎
Hi, my rear heater stopped work after coolant change, what did I do wrong, any idea ?

Good to know mate, cheers👍😎
Quick question, what about those that run on an old model land cruiser, lets say the 80 series 1hz engine...
How many litres of coolant do you put in?
The coolant capacity on the 1HZ depends on a few variables. Auto/manual without rear heater 10.9/11.1 litres, Auto/manual with rear heater 11.7/11.9 litres.
