Made this dough with my preschool class but without the glue. Cut out Christmas cookie ornaments, They were great and smelled amazing.

I made Christmas gingerbread ornaments out of cinnamon-applesauce dough several years back. Love these pumpkins and will make some. Loved the display as well. Thanks for sharing ❤️
I love these little pumpkins. Going to go tomorrow and get some apple sauce. I had some but, we have already eaten it all. Will have to keep my son out of the new apple sauce when I get it tomorrow. Will have to hide it in my craft room until I get ready to use it. And hopefully he doesn’t go in there looking for something and find it. Thinking it was put in there by mistake. Lol… cause it will be gone. Cause that boy is an eater. I just know those pumpkins smell delicious! Yes, I know exactly what that is. It’s an ice bucket. I have one just like it. But, I don’t have the lid to mine. When I moved a few years back. It got gone. Don’t know if it got left behind at the old place. Or exactly where it got to. But, I no longer have the lid. But I still use it for decoration. Cause it’s so pretty.
How long at 150° do I bake these? I think the last batch i made was at 175° for about 45 minutes.
Could these mold? And does the grunge mixture cause items to mold? I believe I saw on a video that someone had the grunge mixture to cause mold. Very curious !

No, I’ve never had a problem with mold. You do want to be sure that the pumpkins get enough air flow and dry within a day or two… otherwise, I could potentially see the likelihood of mold.
Does it have to be unsweetened ? .. i made ornaments as a kid and think we just used normal apple sauce. i didn't do the glue recipe though
I would be afraid the sweetened applesauce may attract bugs… but, I’m not for certain.

Yes, you can … or, if they’re small enough, air drying them should work just fine.
