सूखे राजस्थान में लापोड़िया गांव हरियाली से भरे-पूरे एक टापू की तरह है। 300 परिवार वाला यह गांव कई साल सूखे को मात दे रहा है। जयपुर से इसकी दूरी महज दो घंटे की है। यह गांव इसलिए खास क्योंकि इसने पारंपरिक जल संचयन प्रणाली को जिंदा कर जल संकट से मुक्ति पा ली है। यह काम हुआ है लक्ष्मण सिंह के नेतृत्व में। यह गांव बताता है कि बारिश के पानी को सहेजकर ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था को कैसे पटरी पर लाया जा सकता है

In arid and dry landscape of Rajasthan this village stands out like a green oasis. Laporiya, with little over 300 households is a drought- proof village two hours away from Jaipur. What makes it so special is the fact that it has been able to revive the traditional water harvesting structures to harvest water. Laxman Singh is the man behind this mission. Is it possible to revive a village economy using rainwater harvesting? Yes! Laporiya shows the way.
