My daughter is 19 yo and never contacts me ever unless I contact her, never wishes me a happy b-day, Father’s Day etc unless I initiate it and I always pay for everything if we do go out which is rare because she makes herself so busy she just doesn’t have time for dad. But this Father’s Day I won’t even get a phone call or a text from my daughter and even though I divorced her mother , I never did anything to my daughter for her to act this way or seem to hate me. I’m very sorry your dad did that to you. You seem sweet and honest . Sometimes after divorce dads change like that, why I do not know . I respect that at least you tried. It took a lot of courage to call him. He’s loosing out on a great relationship with a great person . Don’t ever think you failed , looks like he failed you. Remember your loved by many.
