- As a follow up to an article in @TheTeamRopingJournal, Trevor talks about how he teaches a young head horse the proper technique to face. He specifically talks about where he wants to make contact with the reins and how he uses his calf and spur to give specific cues, whether the horse should keep pulling or turn and face.

I really like that horse!
Thank you!
In your opinion, what is the best head and heel rope?
Depends on the temp. If it’s super hot, C4. Most other times, I prefer the Futures. You can get both off the website. 👍🏼 brelentless.com
@@RelentlessNation what lays would be the best?
Head rope, I’d go with an extra soft or soft, and heel rope medium soft or medium.
@@RelentlessNation Ok thank you 😁
you guys should do another barn tour we would love to see all the beautys he’s got🤝
We might be able to make that happen. 🙂
Awesome tips 👍🏼... I bought a horse that was raised in a electric fence and he’s pretty skittish of chute help with hotshots buzzing the pipes chasing cattle up then he’ll get nervous in the box , do you think he’ll ever get out of it? But otherwise he’s a good head horse I started two months ago..
Man, it’s hard to say. Scotch used to shy from the chute some, which he got over, but it took some time.
@@RelentlessNation thank you, I sure hope he’ll get out of it, but I know it’ll probably awhile .. but thanks for responding..
You bet man. Just keep after it and be consistent in what and how you ask him.
Man, that's a good lookin gray Pony! Is she for sale? I would sure like to have one like that!! Thanks for this video Trevor!!
She’s actually a roan. Just got super light colored. 🙂
Miles handles all the selling. 🙂
