This is raw talent waiting to be discovered and deployed for the benefit of Rafi fans and music lovers all over the world.
But there is a deeper issue. When Rafi reigned, Rafi's talents were ably complemented by excellent lyricists like Majrooh Sultanpuri, SH Bihari, Hasrat Jaipuri etc. Music directors like Salil Chowdhury, Shankar Jaikishen, Kalyanji-Anandji, Ravi, OP.Nayyar and many others created music to the lyricists. Rafi was the talented tip of a huge iceberg of talent. But do the likes of young singers like Saurav Kishan have that talent infra-structure of lyricists and music directors to nurture them?
Going by the huge demand for music from the Golden era of the 50s to 70s, I am sure that Saurav Kishan will be one of the many lovely singers spearheading a revival of that era.
India lost the peerless Mohammad Rafi at the very young age of 55. Many have since tried to cast themselves as Rafi, so great was his footprint in music. You have come closest Saurav.
Meanwhile, please sing more Saurav !

And don't we all long for those peerless lyrics that the great lyricists of the 50s and 60s penned that even we could easily hum so effortlessly ? That era created a number of bathroom Rafis - guys who belted out Rafi numbers, which, mercifully were drowned by the sounds of the running showers !

@@syedpick Hindi was never and is not implemented in the film industry. Ifact it was urdu that was implemented on people in the form of Bollywood but we dont gave any issues with that. Tou guys sitting in Pakistan will always play the victim card and will always complain that India is not good for muslims and their culture. Kishan is a good singer and has a good voice. He must creat his own style. Rafi Saab is inimitable and in his world that crown is only for him.
His voice quality, hs ascending and descending quality and 'Bhavam' while singing was excellent. Kishan can become a good singer in the coming years. But it is very difficult to get lyricists and music directors of the golden era now. Without them one can not sing good songs.
