One of the most underrated character talents in this series is Clint 1:48 in *AoU*
He tossed Cap Shield at him with high skill, showing at the time how accurate he is at not only Arrows (which are notoriously difficult at times, hence their use in medieval days) but with literally anything.
Something further elaborated on in his Disney+ series.

You can see how much he progressed from the First Avenger to the later movies in terms of throwing and catching the shield. In Civil War, he cut off Spider-Man’s web and came back to his hand without even ricocheting off of anything.

Like the original comment says, the shield comes back to him even without ricocheting off anything.
No matter where he throws, the shield is somewhat attracted to people. It changes its direction just to hit them and return to Captain America

Age of Ultron's intro had some pretty cool ones imo.
there were a couple good ones in civil war, like how he’s able to rebound it off the ground and wall to hit the soldier, not to mention how he breaks Spider-Man’s web and it still comes back to him.
I'd argue Age of Ultron since nearly every catch leads into a badass combo.

There was definitely a lot of improvement in each film, specifically Winter Soldier. He went from only being able to throw it directly at targets and catching it while it aimlessly falls to rebounding it off multiple objects and targets and doing kicks with it.
I just love other Avengers using caps shield or doing a team combo

@@Trackrace29582 there are more, bucky, new cap/john walker, sam, black widow (in age of ultron). Vibranium is literally very light and easy to throw
spiderman can probably throw it well too

After finishing the Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I'm convinced any of the Avengers can use the shield well after some practicing with it.
I like a lot how it changes throughout the movies. In The first Avenger he throws the shield and it goes up and he just catches it from the sky, but later on the throws look more precise as if every throw was perfectly calculated and the catch is direct and not just like catching a stray ball.
In Age of Ultron they undid everything they built up until then with the Magnet thingy, basically confirming that cap doesn't use that but instead uses a weird magnet that brings the shield back, kinda stupid tho.
Cap throwing his shield was easily one of the best things to watch in the MCU

Y'know. If you watch it in slow motion, you can see the seams both with the cgi and the logistics of some of the throws. Some of em make sense, some of them don't regardless of it being fiction. Love it anyway
yeah, it's possible but he does it perfectly for the first attempt which is crazy awesome. i just make my own explanation for that.
@Meta Man well, i meant more along the lines of consistency.
Take the opening of Winter Soldier for example. When he spun and flings the shield it hit the target and then the wall. The shield has a diagonal trajectory that wasn't in line with where he was in order for him to catch it.
Or the battle with Spiderman. He cut the web with the shield but we never see or hear what it hit to come back, not that there was anything for it to bounce off of.
I wish I had a vibranium weapon. An axe would be more up to my speed.

He had magnetic gauntlet to reattract the shield. He would grip his fist or something to disengage it when he throws it and regrip his fist to attract back his shield.

Captain America Winter Soldier has the best shielf throwing so far, and for the Age of Ultron thor hitting cap's shield to kill the robots is the most satisfying so far.

In Age of Ultron, the shield didn't have any straps on it. So how did Natasha hold it and fight with it? Cap has magnets on his forearm and hand that are synced with the shield.
Magical straps appeared to, for the motorcycle part she prob just leaned it at an angle
