As a kid (70s), my dad had two ice cream trucks. All the kids in the neighborhood knew my dad. Sometimes my parents would do double duty, my dad working one truck and my mom working the other. They enjoyed it, and in the summer they did good business. Its a great treat to see this, very nice memories, even if they're in the rain. Thanx for sharing. :)

This video brought back fond memories for me as Mister Softee was big in NYC when I was growing up also in the 70's (mid to late as a teenager). In Italy we don't have ice cream trucks... so for me this is amazing even if for the most of people it's a normal thing we are used to see stuff like that only in the films. If I ever go to Usa one day in my life I think I'll be amazed just like a little kid even if I'm 23 (sorry if you see bad english).

Since Nichols can't put copyrighted music onto the Mark IV, Mr. Softee had to custom order Mark IV boxes with their jingle on it. But this doesn't mean anyone can get a mark IV with the Mr. Softee jingle. Nichols only did this for the Mr. Softee company.

i heard a creppy ice cream truck play that it was at a 4th of july parade in sunrise fl the only truck who can play that is mister softee there was 2 ice cream truck when that happened the first on was on the grass the second one was parked next too a fire station it said ice cream slush.

Even if you couldn't see the truck, you always knew where it stopped because the music would stop playing.
