- We are starting to harvest our mangosteens here in Thailand. I'm surprised at what it sells for here .Mangosteen comes ripe at the same time as durian. This is a Pluss as it supplements are income in addition to our durian sales . As an expat it definitely is a good source of income for the family . By having a family farm here in Thailand growing monthong durian and mangosteen definitely makes a huge difference in our families income. making retirement much more secure with this additional income .
Sure we can invest in other things but this life style is awesome

Beautiful trees. Funny about the big and smalls, smalls are the best because they tend to have no seed.
Very nice! 🙂
Very cool
👍
Living the dream, sir! My wife and I have the goal to do something similar in Buriram in about 10 or so years. Just padding our 401k's and saving for our Thai house so our bills are low once we move from Texas.
👍 what city do you live in Texas ?
@@TMDurianfarmer The north Austin area
@TMDurianfarmer We're very fortunate that her family is planning on leaving us a bunch of land that they currently graze their cattle on and grow rice.
@@3shighoctane I have friends in Houston .
It’s a nice orchard..cool and slow life 🎉.
Hi, love to see it! We have abaut 7 rai of dense planted Mangosteen trees, this year will be the first in 10 years, that I visit the farm in earning season. Cant wait to see the farm in full ripe fruit trees 😂. We are in the south, so the earning will be in september and some of the old durian trees which are blended in this Mangosteen land will also have ripe fruits. I never teasted durian ban before, so I will make a bunch of new experience this year 😊. Do you give fertilizer to the Mangosteen yearly? Looks like my parents in law dont do it every year. Kind regards, Chris.
Hi Chris
That's awesome it's really fun to pick the mangosteen and durian . They taste great fresh from the tree.
Yes we fertilize our mangosteen bi yearly
Nice job man! Love the new farm!
Thanks 👍
Great life ❤
Queen of fruits
Beautiful orchard!
Many thanks!
Do you ever think about farming rubber? I'd think you could make good money with natural rubber.
I had over 7 hectares of rubber trees that makes very little money .Durian is much more profitable .My advice is don't grow it
Yah i always buy these in china, love the taste. It’s a gamble tho, sometimes you get good ones, sometimes they are bad
In Chinese it’s called 山竹
From the time we pick them it's about 5 days until the taste starts to turn if not refrigerated
What is the spacing of mangosteen trees. Do you prune mangosteen trees for hieight and side
Our farm is spaced 7m x 7m . We only top them to prevent them from growing to tall so it's easy to harvest
How much fruit does a mango tree usually produce? typical average kg?
@@dog2142 a full grow mango tree can produce a lot of fruit from 50 to 150 kilos
How old are your munkkut trees?
Over 14 years old
What kind of fertiliser are you putting on them?
When we finish harvest we will apply a 16- 8- 8
what's the local (not export) selling price for Durian ? thnx.
It's 150 to 170 B per kilo
@@TMDurianfarmer thnx
The chinese love the musan king durian the most so why cant you plant them instead of monthong
I have 100 trees of mk
