      Similar.
Because of the randomness of the Kwikset Locks going Off-Line - I keep a few "Guest Passwords" programmed into the lock that I can give out when I can't personalize the password per guest (Ideal) if the lock is offline. The lock still retains the programmed passcodes up to the moment it went offline. As long as the batteries are good, the lock will open on any programmed passcode. (You probably know all this, just mentioning what the video did not.)
Here's what I learned. Note I was using an iPhone.
      1. I don't think you can do this remotely - you have to be at the lock.
      2. This "WiFi Reset" is really more of a Factory Reset on the lock. You'll have to name it again, the house and enter all the passwords to connect to the WiFi.
      3. What I recommend - FIRST put in new batteries if you're going to do that anyway. Have ALL YOUR PASSWORDS HANDY! Log Out of your KwikSet App and close it (Don't Delete the App, CLOSE it.) "Forget" the device from your Bluetooth list.
      After you've read/completed the above -
Standing in front of the Lock use the Kwikset App to re-add the lock by clicking on the {Lock Symbol} with the "+" and follow the step by step visual guide. Takes about 5 minutes. You lose your lock history, but retain your programmed passwords as long as you don't delete the app. Still - you should test those programmed passcodes just to be sure.
And... you'll probably be doing this again because there's a long list of comments of people who's Kwikset Halo's randomly won't connect to WiFi when we are away and then magically re-connect themselves to WiFi sometimes weeks later.

I did the network reset all right but cannot pair with the lock, there is no option to pair on the app except ADD a new lock and that one gives me an error message about the lock not available for pairing. I am about OVER kwikset, I installed 5 of these on airbnb doors and have had nothing but trouble, had to change one that physically jammed. Low battery warnings don't come through. When someone uses the key once the lock needs resetting entirely or the calibration is off and it jams. And now this, changing the wireless turns into a nightmare. I picked them because they were the most expensive at Home Depot, seemed like the high end solution, but damn it, the only thing I feel good about, is that if the Chinese make their boats and missiles the way they manufacture the rest of the crap they sell us, we are not going to lose supremacy any time soon...

Try the Schlage encode. I had the Halo for over a year with the constant problem of it going offline and have to be near the lock to get it back online. Have had no problem since I switched to the schlage encode. If you don't live close to where you install the quickset I would not recommend it

I would look at rehanding the lock to see if that helps and the connect you might have with a hub. So rehand first and if does not get better resync it.

I changed my Wifi to a new name, so I ready the WiFi on the lock and it still does not give me an option to setup wifi in the kwikset app. Where the heck do I modify the wifi in the app? The lock now only works via Bluetooth.

This lock is not good if you use for vacation rentals it goes offline and you have to be there in Bluetooth range to reset it. I'm 500 miles away and can't just go re connect it so I would not recommend it for vacation rentals unless you live close by

Its on of those set and forget it ones. If you get it to work, then you have to leave it or start all over and hope it works enough to set up again.
