Get the original voice actors into the recording booth, having them direct her on the subtleties of the voice line shes recording.

yeah but, and obviously no ones perfect, but when she did Helden Scherben nicht it had a strong accent and when the voice actor for mercy did it it sounds perfectly German because she is German but I just meant that she didn’t really need to speak the languages before hand because she clearly just learned the voice lines for this. I’m sorry that was a long and convoluted way of saying this but I am German and I immediately heard a difference between the two voice actors that I felt was worth noting

Props to the voice actress. Not only did she have to record lines for herself and other heroes, she ALSO had to do the ones that are in a different language.

For those pulse bombs to be viable, you need to be a damn good Tracer, and if you're that good you'll get more value out of playing Tracer than Echo. I don't understand why people bring this up after trying to use as many ults as they can in the training room. In actual games, good luck sticking a pulse before you're shredded by the enemy team.

@@Alex.af.Nordheim Even before Echo was in the game, it was possible to see what Bastion was saying in his beeps. You just needed the game subtitles on.
Mostly because Echo is also an omnic, just enhanced, so it's understood if she can translate whats behind bastion's sounds.

I have no idea why they didn't do it. They had her shout during Reinhardt's charge.

As a native German speaker i instantly recognized the accent in Mercy's voice line. Though it did add to the Charm!
I'm a Spanish native speaker and found "Apagando las luces" funny pronounced as well

The original actor is not brazilian but makes a very good job with his accent.
Echo’s actress reads the same line with a american accent.
Weird she doesn’t have a british accent when speaking other languages - I would think she’d try going for a British accent (unless they’re the same in other languages but I doubt it)
@@SSSpencer413 She does have an accent in most of the languages. She spoke almost perfectly for Sombra's Spanish. Her tones were a little off for Mei's Mandarin, and a little off on Symmetra too.

This is probably the most work a voice actor has ever had to put into this game and it was worth it.
there is something about echo that I like when she says who she's copying. Lowkey gets you hyped up.

When Echo says "freeze, don't leave" in Chinese, it sounds like "no bath."
@T.A.B.S Shogun the literal translation of 冻住，不许走 (Dòng zhù, bùxǔ zǒu) in English is "freeze, not allowed to leave", which then turns to "freeze, don't move" when put in context.

It is kinda funny when she is saying zenyatta’s ult, a robot is saying a robots’s voice line
It removes a bit of the magic when she says Widow's ult bc she has a strong accent, not something you would expect from a highly adaptive robot who literally copies perfectly.
well she also has some accent when speaking chinese, but Jeff said she won't be on the server for the next few weeks so hopefully they'll correct it. I still love her tho

I love how happy Echo sounds as Junkrat or turning into Moira.
Firstly i have to say that actress made a hell of a job recording all those lines and sounds of all characters. Secondly some of the lines are just the originals with fx (mostly non-english lines) and some are duplicated with echos voice actress
Echo’s voice actress re-recorded all the non-English voice lines though? It’s very noticeable with Ana, Genji, and Mei
genji's japanese voice line has just a pitch shifted dub. Same goes for one of sombras

@@Mr.Verethron It's very obvious that you don't speak any of those languages... I'm Spanish, the Sombra one is VERY OBVIOUSLY not spoken by a Spanish-speaking person from anywhere. A Japanese-speaking person would probably say the same about the Genji one.
@@Dani0x1B Im pretty sure Echo's actor prerecorded all this, I find it quite cool that they have the original hero saying the ult line, and then they put Echo with the ult voice line too, if anyone is getting confused. Echo sounds like shes saying all of the ult lines but ok. Her Japanese sounded off, yes, but it sounded cool hearing another person say them!
With Echo now up, i think the theory of that Overwatch (1) is a combat condition simulator, to retrieve data of active agents and enemies, so they could use it for further stuff,why Athena is omnipresent and is monitoring all the results
That could explain the ambigous objectives and why enemies are on the same team
Or how Dva and junkrat had voicelines reffering to another selves

UX8 Overwatch is just non canon to the story.
The game and the lore are two separate entities. Pretty much the game is non-canon except the Archives events

I’m a Junkrat main, I wouldn’t get mad about an Echo copying me, because hearing Echo say “Fire in the hole!” with Junkrat is the best thing I’ve heard this year, hands down.
i can't imagine how exhausting, yet fun recording all these was, especially the foreign ones.
