My dad died at 47. He had a stroke 3 months before and couldn't talk anymore. I will remember this for the rest of my life....it was Christmas, I was hanging out with him in the hospital. I had written him a letter. As I was reading it to him I started to cry so hard....he looked at me as tears rolled down his cheek, only the 2nd time I'd ever seen him cry, he looked at me, shook his head no, then shook his head yes. I instantly knew he was telling me not to worry, everything would be okay. I still can't believe that as hes laying there slipping away, he still had the strength to be there for me...to try and protect me. I miss you so much daddy, I hope I'm making you proud of me. 😥😇

As I was reading it to him I started to cry so hard....he looked at me as tears rolled down his cheek, only the 2nd time I'd ever seen him cry, he looked at me, shook his head no, then shook his head yes. I instantly knew he was telling me not to worry, everything would be okay. I still can't believe that as hes laying there slipping away, he still had the strength to be there for me...to try and protect me. I miss you so much daddy, I hope I'm making you proud of me. 😥😇
