All Railroads Serving New Orleans - June 19, 2020

- With our yearly "father/son trip" underway, my dad and I set out to explore some new territory hitting the area of New Orleans to catch some trains! Of course with sites to see like Bourbon St, the city has some nice spots to check out, one being Lake Ponchartrain where we shoot Amtrak's Crescent and a Norfolk Southern train, then moving to the other side of the city at CN's East Bridge Junction seeing just about everything, and the Huey P. Long Bridge going over the Mississippi River. The New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, Amtrak, Canadian National, Norfolk Southern, BNSF, Union Pacific, Kansas City, Southern, and a glimpse of CSX's Gentillie Yard are all in view on today's video!

See if you would have had your fishing pole and either some shrimp or small crabs or swim baits you could have caught some Redfish or speckled trout right where you were standing! The train trestle is a hot spot for fishing!
Glad you had a fun time in New Orleans. I have yet to get over there to see trains but they get crazy stuff like that M-LIGN frequently from what I hear. Regarding that Breast Cancer Awareness boxcar, I saw that same one in my area back in April 2020 and it sat in a storage track for quite some time. It might have been a load from my area on that 345. I thought it was cool to see your take on it. I really enjoyed the video. Great job.

You were in an area that got hammered by a cat 4 hurricane just three months after your filming. Btw, what do you know about the railway that runs through Metairie road? I think it’s the southern belt. Where does it travel to and from? Thanks! I love these trains!
