      Timothy 1:9-11
      the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and *homosexuals* and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.
      Careful which law you refer to. Apostoles who wrote the Bible were coordinated by God, but nobody asked God anything when the human rights were made and new rights were added to them.
      Look carefully into the Bible. No section in it mentions clearly the tolerance to homosexuality as a good thing.
      As much as we should love the sinner, we should never love the sin for the sin is not welcome in God's Church.

    Well done to the evangelicals of London! The response from the Diocese is shameful. Not one ounce of remorse, humility or repentance regarding the House of Bishops' departure from Scripture - just a disdainful put-down for those brave souls who dare to challenge the apostate establishment.

    • @philipdouglas5911
      @philipdouglas5911 Před rokem

      The evangelicals are a dangerous force at present that could cause a schism by their dogmatic application of a particular interpretation of scripture. No one knows what Paul meant in his letters and the general view is the hard line one that this is sin. Paul may have seen the sin as being the abuse of power that went alongside homosexual sex or temple prostitution both of which were common at the time. Times have changed as has the nature of same sex relationships. Hard line interpretation has been put before pastoral need as well as recognising that people who are gay are not outside the love of God. This is something that we cannot look to Jesus for an answer. The church upholds his teaching on marriage but Jesus is silent on anything to do with same sex relations as it was not an issue in the culture which he lived.
      The evangelicals have also hijacked the house of laity to ensure that this measure gets rejected by General Synod and we are potentially seeing a war of different traditions. They want all other Anglicans that are not in the evangelical camp to basically disappear so they can be the Church of England. We have been hear before with the ordination of women and the five guiding principles that we as ordinands have to sign up for have still not fully resolved the issue. This is something that is going to be a hot potato for a number of years and the current situation in the house of laity has been a wake up call for the rest of the church. Lets hope that the next synod is more balanced that represents the broad churchmanship that makes up the church.

      Hi Woke 2 woke,
      Those who are born again in Christ, maybe should never have gone to any denomination to begin with. Let alone the Anglican Church, even if they are for or against what's going on in the C of E, or the others!
      The Anglican church ( like the Roman church, I was brought up in) is not built on the foundations of the Apostles and Prophets, but is a mixture of paganism, man made traditions, equal to the bible ( they say?) with a hierarchy that springs from the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, that Jesus hates.
      There is no clergy or laity in the new testament, but the priesthood of all believers, from the noblest to the based. Plus the history of this church was evil and oppressive!
      The author of this video should not speak out the odds against, until he leaves the clerical system, and shows Christianity for what it is.
      Pure sin!!

    • @decathlonevent
      @decathlonevent Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the👍 up Woke 2 woke, if that was you, or anyone else?
      Don't mistake me ( I should of said it preciously?) there isn't anything wrong with traditions in themselves, as thee bible doesn't say this, ways of doing things and such, its only wrong when the above contradicts the bible, which in turn becomes "law" and seen as "not actually following god. If one doesn't?"
      When it come to "Christianity" "Messianic Judaism" and the such, although God never initiated them, he can and still works through them, as many saints still caught up in the above, as I once was, are still "nonplussed" and " non the wiser" ( as I was) but it's only after having a true revelation concerning the falsehood, then there is no excuse! One has to leave! Revelation 18 ( come out of her my people!). It can hard though! When one is used to doing things over and over again!
      But Church hierarchies are bad, that is one thing I found liberating! they're not scriptural, as Jesus stated in Matthew 23, when he stated calling non your master, one the root words of master in the Greek is the verb "to lead" as well as "to command"
      So no there were no leaders in the new testament, only elders who were comforters! Now the the new testament is a completed book along with the bible, and now that the apostles are gone, the calling and appointments for elders is now closed.

  • @MrAgonizomai
    @MrAgonizomai Před rokem +9

    The whole matter starts a long way back, with resisting small details of God’s plan. We give up on what we think are small matters, only eventually to realise that we have loosened a thread that will unravel the whole jumper. I remember the fuss when the C of E said it would no longer regard co-habiting couples as “living in sin.” There were conservative voices raised at that point, but they were portrayed as hopelessly out of touch, unloving, motivated by animosity towards people with different lifestyles, restrictive, holding back the church’s ministry to people in this position. Does that sound familiar? Then it was further marriage following divorce, then ordination of women…
    Satan will always find a way to put a wedge between members of the body of Christ. His method is to set people against one another, and to encourage and enable them in unbelief and sin. His goal is disunity, destruction and disenchantment with all things to do with God.
    I’m out of the loop myself, now, having retired due to mental ill-health, caused in the main by the issues of sexuality (and if I had stayed, gender ID would have come in), marriage and the proper roles and relationships between the sexes outside those areas. I am still worshipping at a C of E church, but only because the vicar and I have been friends for a long time.
    This wounded soldier encourages the warriors on the front line to maintain the defence of the church’s true identity in Christ. I am prepared for my church to leave the structures of the C of E if that be necessary, but nobody wants schism. However the schismatics are those who open up the gap between the Lord’s teaching and the practice of the church. That they have their hands on the levers of power os the reason why faithful members of the church must consider secession. It should be the last resort only, but unless we are willing to stand by our guns, call out what is wrong and rebuke those who wield the power, including threatening them with being landed with the physical shell of a church in each parish, with no congregation to give it life, then our protests are no more than noisy gongs and clanging cymbals.

    Wow! I just found this video. I am sorry that the stresses of schism have come up on some of the C of E. BUT I applaud the clergy and congregations who stand for traditional Biblical beliefs. In the USA, while I was still Episcopal, some parishes broke with the USA Episcopal Church and put themselves under African Anglican Bishops. That way they remained in the Anglican Communion and didn't have to change much at all. The African Bishops were conservative. So they were all in accord.
    I, myself, became Roman Catholic.
    I am noticing that the word "SIN" is absent from these declarations. But that is exactly what your break away group is seeking to avoid. I so applaud them.
    If I had another available choice in 1993, I would have tried that rather than become Catholic. That was my mindset 30 years ago. But I am glad all worked out this way for me. I would have missed out on many wonderful things!
    I will pray for those who are under going stresses to be true to the Word of God in your nation.

    As a vicar who has been working 25 years in the reformed church of Switzerland I have seen everywhere the same. First: the homosexual marriage was trojan horse for political reasons - so after the doors were opened, there were only very little homosexual marriages until today. Second: Everywhere where the LGBTQ community is stepping into church business, you will have destruction, splits and ruines. Remember: This is a little small community that is just very loud and tries to push their views onto everyone else. You can look worldwide - it's everywhere the same. The worst bit is, that this movement dominates the theological faculties. And as a believer who does not support their view you have huge difficulties to be ordained or accepeted at all. So, yes, this is the right and wise step, to keep the plurality of congregations alive and open. The same stuff is going on here in Switzerland and in Germany. We have a growing resistance and bringing churches together.

    I think this split could go two ways. It could either give the Bishops the wakeup call they need, making them realize how much adapting Same Sex Blessings has divided the Communion, that it has forced these clergy to take these measures, and that the least they could do is come to a settlement. That, or the fact that these parishes are setting up a deanery without the bishops' knowledge or permission could anger them and harden their hearts against any sort of settlement with orthodox Anglicans, thus resulting in a disaster for these churches in the short-term, and the Church of England in the long-term. I pray for the former, but seeing that statement, I would not be surprised if they go the latter route. Personally, if I was in the shoes of these clergy, I would have campaigned for a settlement before doing anything like this, or at least informed the Diocese several weeks in advance that we were forming a new deanery, telling them with regret, our churches have no other choice but to severe ties.

Sexual immorality's definition has not changed as received and given through Moses all the way to Our Lord, whose will for the gentiles was expressed at First Jerusalem Council through his hand-picked apostles. These bishops are giving way to the world, nothing more. Let them seek their popularity and acclaim by the world, but continue to affirm their teachings as anathema to the Church. The Church by all means must show love to sinners, but never affirm them in their sin. Jesus has shown us the way.

      Exactly, and this is where most denominations of the Christian Church, not just the CoE, have failed. Like the World, too many Christians have conflated "nice" with "loving" when they are NOT the same thing at all. Accommodating a sinner in their sins is about the most UNloving and not nice thing any Christian could do. A Christian is effectively dispatching a sinner to Hell through such behavior.

Nowadays, I have an entirely different view on relationships, blessings and the Bible. We have no creeds - merely a set of advices and queries about how we might live our lives and faith. We are exhorted to see “that of God” in everyone and “to do what Love requires”. Moreover my perspective on the Bible, and what Biblical teaching might, or might not, be as I let go of much of the “emotional investment” I had harboured. To have these woman vicars/bishops is completely unbiblical! When the church embraces the world and unbiblical practices... It is no longer a church, but a gathering of religious people who don't know the God of the Bible

    • @decathlonevent
      @decathlonevent Před rokem

      Hi Mark,
      Yes that's right, but women and men who are vicars is not biblical, as the position/office of "vicar" is Roman/Babylonian, clerical system, which it turn means "substitute/in place of" that meaning on place of Christ, which is Antichrist!
      Bishops ( men or women is also not biblical, as the new testament speaks of elders ( men and women) who were pastors and bishops simultaneously, and were senior citizens. The elders who had the function of bishop was similar to that of a deacon, in that the function was to do with material needs, not ruling over dioceses, which is tantamount to control, which the bible condemns!
      There was no one teaching of the scriptures over the congregation, as the word is from the verb " To dialogue " meaning all participated..
      As the new testament is now completed with death of the apostles, there is no more appointing of leaders, any leaders for that matter, as the apostles were the only ones who had the authority to appointed the above, no one else!
      Ephesians 4:11 is now redundant to the office / functions prescribed, as the verse contains also "apostles" who's office is now closed.
      The job of the functions prescribed in the above verse,apart from being an apostle, prophets and pastor/elder bishop, is now for the priesthood of all believers.

      This means that we both teach and preach to one another.
      The misapplied, misinterpreted chapter and verse found in 1Timothy:12 has nothing to do with the prohibition of women teaching from scripture, but is speaking of a wife causing trouble, by domineering her husband, and teaching false doctrines about Adam + Eve. I don't know if you're referring to 1 Timothy 2:12, in your belief about female bishops, Before I go on, this verse does not say that a woman cannot teach a man, as this is in the singular, while the previous verses in this chapter are in the plural ( unsound behaviors). The woman in question was a wife who was domineering her husband, a behaviour condemned in the bible, also she was spouting of a false doctrine concerning Adam + Eve.
      As for women being bishops? Yes, as they were elders and pastors simultaneously. Also because we are a kingdom of priests ( male and female).
      Yes there are scriptures pertaining to qualifications of elders being married " with one wife" and so on. But we mustn't forget "Precsilla and Aquila who both " taught" Apollos in the Book of Acts ( I don't have to mention chapters a verses, as they were put in way later in the centuries.. ..helpful though!) Paul as alluded to other female believers as his "Coworkers"" and women in his list @ end of Romans!
      What a lot people don't realise is, that a role of a bishop, as well as deacons, and elders, being pastors was to oversee the material needs ( not spiritual) of the body ( food, essentials) not having authority over a dioceses.
      Also as priests we teach and preach to one another as the Greek word is "To Dialogue." When preaching to unbelievers, " monologue" is in use, ( although Paul + the other apostles allowed dialogue).
