I am 14 years old and will be 15 next year. School will start soon, and now I am in high school. I have always seen that I am not like other children my age, whether in the things I love or even in the work I aspire to. I want to become a university professor and Mostly it will be for the English language. I am not sure. I hope you will publish more about your work and so on. I am happy with this nice video. thank you! My Dream one day is to be a math professor. Im graduating this semester with my bachelor's but i need to get that masters in math, and I have some courses I need for requirements. Id love, to see videos on how you prep for a class you never taught, how many hours do you do prep/office work and what does that entail? how did you get to this position, ect. The general knowledge questions. It's honestly hard to find good reliable info out there. A lot of info on how to become a professor or what it's like is from people who arent professors... weird. Lol.

Hey! I loved your video! I am currently a highschool junior and a considering this as a possible career option being a professor of psychology. My question to you is, do you get to choose if you do in person or online classes? Personally, I would prefer teaching more in person, do you usually get to decide what you do? Also, what type of university do you teach at? 2 year or 4 year? Thank you for the uplifting video!!
Hi, thanks for watching and for your positive feedback🥰 Great questions!! So when I was hired, the Dean did let me know that the expectations is for me to teach both face-to-face and also online classes. When you apply for teaching positions, most Universities will include on their hiring summaries, which format they are looking to hire for. Since you prefer to teach face-to-face classes, those are the positions you should keep an eye out for. & I teach at a four-year university.

How do you get paid as a professor? Is it per course, salaried? Idk I never knew how. But I just subscribed because I wanted to see the day in life for professors! I will be started my master in English next fall and would love to become a professor
Hi there! Thanks for subscribing :) & full time professors get salary and get paid monthly, adjunct (part time) get paid per course and monthly as well. Good luck in your masters program!! You can check out your school or any school of your interest, current qualifications to become an adjunct professor. It will help you decide when to start applying! It's always best to start out as an adjunct and get experience and then move toward teaching full time, if teaching is the career path you're interested in.
Hey I’m a 26 year old male who is thinking about being a college teacher but I’m nervous because I know sometimes you have to have experience in teaching and I’m nervous to start out in public schools because of the students. I honestly been trying to figure out what I want to do in life since high school and I feel like being a professor seems like the route to go. Any advice on journey and how to overcome my worries?
Hi!! That’s totally valid! So If i could offer any advice it definitely would to apply for an adjunct (part time) professor role at a local or community colleges, either in person or online. There are many Facebook groups for a collegiate teaching where people post job postings all the time so I would definitely find one that way you can connect with other people who are thinking about higher education, teaching as well 🥰

How many hours do you work everyday? What does your schedule look like?
It usually depends on how long my classes are, which could be anywhere from hour and a half to three hours. Then I spend the rest of my work hours grading in my office, so it can equal up to 8 hours, a day, m-Friday.
My goal is to be a college professor. I am about to start my master’s in English. Do you need a state teaching license or just your master’s degree?
