I truly believe this issue isn’t about being Republican or Democrat. It’s about being American, and the values and freedoms we believe this country should represent.

Been saying this same thing myself. I am fed up with the "oh, the poor doctors are in such a difficult position" whining. THEY are in a difficult position? I have had a lifelong chronic illness and i can attest to the fact that only one out of every 5 to 7 drs gives a rats ass about womens health. Medical mysogyny is everwhere and rampant. This is just another sympton. If it werent the AMA would be all over this.

i am sorry but you are being a Pollyannna. As a woman with a rare disease who is now 62 i have spent a literal lifetime fighting medical mysogyny and have almost died from medical disinterest and neglect 4 times. I have lived in both idaho and georgia (i am white and my son was born in boise) as well as liberal states like california and it is the same everywhere. In my experience, depending on the specialty maybe 1 out of every 7 doctors is worth the paper their diplomas are printed on. I have given speeches to large audiences (up to 3000 people) where i have used examples from my medical experiences and have been swarmed afterwards by hundreds of people wanting explicit references to the "good" doctors i have described because they or their female relatives are experiencing the same things. I have had pediatric specialists in idaho and georgia tell me there was nothing wrong with my very sick son. One called me a munchousser (sp?) by proxy mother, the other said there was nothing wrong that wouldnt be cured if i quit working and stayed home...come to find out he was deliberately refusing to treat my son because he disapproved of my lifestyle as a single mother. My son nearly died and we had to move to another state so he could get proper healthcare. Wake up. Its not just the mothers that pay the price of mysogyny its also the children and the drs are a huge part of the problem. Thats why the AMA isnt involved in this fight. Most drs have god complexes with mysogyny chaser.

As a woman no longer of child bearing abilities and one who chose to not ever birth a human back when I was 15, I've been actually asked why do I even care about this issue. After I stop staring in disbelief at the question, it's about health care and privacy for us, also the anti-choice... it's about power for weak minded losers who have to cheat and manipulate to get and maintain power.

I didn't go to college. I got a job out of high school. Worked minimum wage for years. Got married at 22 and raised children with no help from the government. I now have a paid off house. You kids need to budget, not waste money of take out coffee, tattoos, drugs, concert tickets. trendy electronics, travel, college, jewelry and fancy clothes, video games, professional sports and all other unnecessary nonsense.
Some advice. Work overtime if asked.

Also over 50% of the current inflation issue is acknowledged as price guaging - it's being driven by higher profit seeking, nothing to do with the government.

The more people available to work, the less the wealthy will have to do anything while taking the lion's share of the profits (i.e. workers don't receive the full amount they earn). Also the 1% would be able to hire more people part-time so as to offer NO benefits and if someone becomes too run down or I'll to work, there's plenty more where they came from.

Why would any OB-GYN, or other medical professional who delivers babies, work in a state where the standard of care for some dangerous pregnancy medical conditions (abortion) is criminalized? Answer: they won’t. They will leave states where they have to beg politicians who have no medical education to let them save the life of their dying patient or risk terrible punishments if they proceed and politicians disagree with them after the fact. Some are already are departing and leaving the areas they left with fewer options for all pregnant patients, even those with very healthy, uncomplicated pregnancies.
We need to stick together. Vote Blue down the line.
We need to start talking about the lack of birth control if MAGA has their way. If life begins at conception you know contraception will be stopped because it is going against conception. I never thought I would live to see this. We are not going back.

Something that might help is also adding that this fight is about birth control. Abortion isn't the only form, it's health care. My mother had two miscarriages and had D&Cs both times. NOTE: D&Cs are abortions! Please, please, start pointing this out as many people think that abortion is the lazy way to prevent births but most of it use is in other issues.

What they are doing goes even further than what you focused on. Think about the moves they are making to undo child labor laws. Who are these children who will be pushed into the work force at 12 / 14 years old? It will be poor, minority children. Will these children have the ability to get proper education? Or will they essentially become servants / property of the state?
If this doesn't stop, I am moving, Canada or France are actually looking better than US, right now.

What can I do? I'm not going to call or text either people I know or people I don't know because I get annoyed when people call or text me. I'm not going to run for office. I'm not going to knock on doors. I don't want to attend rallies, but I might consider that. I do vote.
I suppose I could attend local school board and other community meetings. I don't think I have interest but I might just find it interesting, if nothing more than to listen to what members of my community value.

The anti abortionists are correct when they say life begins at inception. But they fail to mention that life often ends soon after for a variety of reasons. One reason is that the fetus is growing in the wrong place and is thus not viable. As far as I'm concerned, if it's growing in a person who doesn't want to be pregnant, then it's growing in the wrong place.
Women (and girls) have all kinds of reason for wanting (or needing) to abort, none of which are any business of mine.
