- How to import Audio into Serum using vocal samples to create vocal synth presets. Reid Stefan Realest Puppet In The Game Uses Ableton 10 to make a beat from scratching using Karra vocal samples as Serum Wavetables. Custom wavetables allow you to create serum presets from audio and process them with the plugins in Serum FX. Always tune your vocal samples before importing them into serum. You can check the tuning with Autotune or the Tuner in Ableton. This tutorial also covers how to record and arrange a beat in ableton from scratch. These sound design tips and tricks will help you import any audio sample into your synth! Importing samples into serum's noise oscillator also allows you to use Serum as a sampler.

distorted? Some times they sound good. Most of the time, they're
unusable.
just part of the hit or miss with serum haha, feels real good when you finally get a clean vocal table outa some random sample tho!
Maybe it's got something to do with the wave shape? Like similar wave shapes produce better results?

I did the first 2 steps where i drag the sample into serum pitch avg then adjust the lfo send it to the wt position knob... but the sound coming out is distorted even tho there is no effects in the chain... how to fix

It would be great if the effects could be routed via sidechain to a vocal channel, which would be a reason for me to buy this thing, because of the reverb.

When i drop my sample into Serum it doesn't sound similar to the sample used at all. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I'm following your steps here and have tried multiple times/ways. Weird

When I import a vocal sample in Serum it sounds really distorted. All of my settings are the same. Do you know why this is happening? Flames though.
Watkinz Music keep recording different samples! Some sound great and some don’t work at all! I was very surprised that iPhone recordings work best for these samples!

This Is A Certified Hood Classic most of the samples I recorded didn’t sound good as wavetables either. But Keep trying different vocal sounds until you find ones that import nicely! Trial and error is key 🔑
